Kentucky C/1B Michael Williams was just selected by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 30th round (#932 overall) of MLB Draft. How crazy: Rays take both Luke Maile & Michael Williams, who alternated between C & 1B for Kentucky. Likely to continue? And could it happen with the Bowling Green HotRods?

Kentucky junior relief pitcher Tim Peterson has opted to sign with the New York Mets. He was a 20th round pick. That's a little bit of a blow to the Cats' bullpen, especially considering they had figured he may return.

The biggest decision from a UK draftee still belongs to LHP Jerad Grundy. If he returns, UK still has terrific weekend rotation.
