  • D - Dupree
O - Smith...even though Warford is best player but hard for OG to get that type of recognition.

  • Defense-neloms, I think he'll have to anchor the young inexperienced secondary and make a lot of plays throughout the season
Offense-king, hopefully the other WR can take some pressure off of him and allow him to have more single coverage. Smith always seemed to be comfortable throwing to King so I think those two can have a stellar season together

  • Defense - Williamson......likely going to be the team's leading tackler. Likely ~120 tackles

Offense - Torn between King (who I think will get 800 yds and 10 TD's) and Clemons (who I think will get 800 yds and 10 TD's).....Smith is another good vote but just b/c he's QB

  • Agree with Neloms and King. King could step up and be a big time threat this year. Neloms is gonna have a chance to make a lot of plays as well.

  • For D, i'll take Williamson. has a nose in everything it seems. Hard to not make play when you do that.
and for O, i'll take the RB's. Williams, Clemons, Goerge, Sanders, and Mobley or Taylor. Yes, i get 5-6 guys as my picks, but RB could very well determine our success. RT pass blocking seems to be te big concern, but if we focus on running, it isn't as bad.

  • Offense- Coshik Williams

    Defense- Marcus Caffey

Although I think Rumph and Cobble will be the key to this defense, as far as them staying healthy...

Interesting choices... but I like it.

I really have to give it to Avery Williamson on "D"... can't decide on offense, but I really hope it's a collective honor, awarded to our entire O-line.

  • Defense: Bud DuPre (Darkhorse: Collins Ukwu)

Offense? Not sure. I would love for it to be the offensive line because that would mean a better than expected season, IMO. Guess: La'Rod King (Darkhorse: Darryl Collins or Bookie Cobbins [as a 'Wildcat']).

Who do I hope it isn't? Patrick Towles. I'd rather Max Smith have a solid season and allow Towles to redshirt (although that most likely will not happen).

  • D - Bud Dupree. He should improve on his year last year. I think he'll lead the team in Sacks.

Offense - Clemons or Smith. As long as Clemons is healthy, I think he'll lead the team in yards and TDs.

    Keep Calm & Stoops On..

  • Rumph on defense; others may put up better numbers but it is important that we stop SEC teams from running up the middle.
Smith on offense; I hope the recieving and rushing yardage will be spread around enough for Smith to have a solid year and be offensive MVP

  • Offense smith in order for any of the other guys to have big years this position needs 2500 yards and a good td/int ratio. defense neloms he has a chance to have 75 tackles and 4-6 int. Last year was a learning curb this year his natural ball hawking ability will show. Darkhorse marco Robinson this kid was a shell of his natural ability last year i think the staff will run alot of screens with him and he has the ability to get behind the defense. i think he busts out this year with 43 receptions 558 yards 6 tds

    quagmire

  • Offense Matt Smith

Defense Donte Rumph...will be A monster at SSDE.
I think everyone made some nice predicts on a good topic question! How can you argue with Neloms, Dupree, Caffey, King, Warford Williams, Clemons?

  • Offense-Maxwell Smith. Our running game should be strong, and if he can be a successful passer, that in turn will make it harder to defend against our running game (and thus makes our total offense stronger). Plus, if you can consistently move the chains, the defense gets rest, which we didn't have last year.
Defense-Bud Dupree. Almost a quarter of his tackles last year were either sacks or tackles for a loss. This pressure will rattle QB's, thus making the CB's and S's job a little easier. Not to mention, if you knock out someone's starting QB, it's typically not a bad thing.biggrinbiggrin
