What are the chances if MB offered Chris Peterson or Gary patterson 4 or 5 mil a year to come here...that we would get either? Both have proven they can win with inferior talent..C.Petersons 82-8 career record at Boise is insane...and hes won 2 BCS Fiesta bowls..only 2 bowl losses were a 17-16 loss to TCU and a 41-38 to ECU when they had Chris Johnson. THese guys can win anywhere..if they camehere and won..started getting top 25 classes...they would become legends..rockstars..football immortals. Im glad Butch Jones said no..guy is 21-14 at UC..1-2 in bowls as HC. To think he could come here and do better in the SEC is ludacris imo. Is there ANY chance we are hot after either? The Boise connections? IF not..any idea on a top 3 as far as our next HC? With thier conferences falling apart..the time could be NOW to lure one or both away. The bluegrass is slowly gaining ground as far as in state talent. 2014 is loaded with great kids... I think Matt Elam could be the most overlooked 6'6 340 DT EVER..this kid isnt just huge, or ox strong, but hes got explosion and quick 1st step. His teammate Dominick Brown is also a good LB. Byron Carver and D.Overstreet both are SEC quality LB/DE's. Drew Barker could be the best QB to ever come out of the state. Nacarius Fant is a capable playmaker at WR. 2015 boasts the best rb in the nation in Damien Harris..kid might be the 2nd coming of Herschel Walker..lol. Any staff..please answer..mabye?No? on Patt/Pete? If no..whom do you think could be in line?

I may be wrong..but MB has been quoted saying money isnt a concern with this search. If you land either..commonwealth would be filled and thats where the money would come from..that and the money from bowls. Up vote bud..I like 99% of your posts..Imjust saying..if thats what it takes..we should do it. We were rumored to have offered between 2.5 to 3.5 to BJ..a guy thats 21-14 at UC..why not bump that to 4.5 for a guy thats 82-8? Im in no way an accountant though..lol..im just saying..Peterson makes 2 mil per at Boise..Im sure Uk can double any offer Boise has..or there is a serious problem.

Bro UK makes no more money from going to a bowl than if it does not. All money is split with each school.
In the last UK budget UK was even not one extra doll. I would just like to know where he MB would find the money. ??????? If we had that kind of money UK could have built the recruiting room and much more.
Just saying. ?????? OH well guess I am beating a dead horse on here. Happy turkey day my fellow UK fans love you all good night.

First of all, to believe UK couldn't increase revenue is incredibly shortsighted. You are going off of old numbers. If you get a coach that rights the ship, everything (ticket sales, merchandise, endorsements, concessions, parking, K Fund requirements, everything) is going to increase. It's called foreshadowing. UK did actually do better than break even as a whole. And if they did make a bowl, they do make more money actually as long as another team doesn't lose their bid. The difference between travel expenditures and what a team gets for a bowl game is not that much of a difference though.
I've told everyone that is willing to listen, if UK had the money, then renovations on Commonwealth would already be under way. The truth is, the athletic department doesn't have the money in reserves to do it. They need the state's help and right now, all of UK's grant money is going towards the hospital. If you want the recruiting room, etc...then donate the $80,000,000 to get renovations rolling, because it is going to be included in stadium renovations.
Now, to the question, I don't think it is out of the question. I don't think Gary Patterson is going anywhere, but to me, there is a chance with Peterson. No one can tell me that they WANT to stay in the Big East right now. It's a dying conference. Everyone decent is looking for a way out, so why would you want to be stuck in that situation? Go coach an automatic qualifier.
