Ranks Smith #10 QB and our position group as #12. Our backup is a Sr. with a ton of game experience and decent SEC Road wins. (This isn't a Newton endorsement, but it's a better than a green behind the ears freshmen being your backup)
I can't understand supposedly having a top 10 QB and #12 Position group with a SR Backup QB.
Makes no sense. Let's just hope Smith stays upright and Newton can bring a change of pace.

It doesnt matter. He and Newton where ranked for what they did the previous year which was pretty bad. But that doesn't mean spit for how they may play this year. Where was Harline ranked prior to his SR and look what a great season he had. Preseason rankings are a complete waste of time to me but give people something to talk about. I would be surprised if Max didn't play pretty well as long as he can stay healthy.
