    What is really sad is that Washington State just dedicated $150 mill for football facility upgrades and hired a proven winner as coach yet we can't get a recruiting room or big name coach and some of you think it's funny.

    Really? What's sad is that a college like WSU would think any kind of decent parent would let their kid play for this idiot. Only those with a blind eye thinks he's innocent. Bob Knight Junior. He'll be fired with in 2 years for misconduct. Go Joker!!!

    They have a 35,000 seat stadium. . . It's about time they did some upgrades. . .

    Easy E, you are accurate in what happen however you failed to mention the dealbreaker in the negotiations. Leach wanted not just a ship but a full on Pirate Ship...straight up Black Pearl style. That's what killed the deal.

    2 years from now when Joker's got us up to a 2-10 record (by your definition of "progress") and Leach is fielding a competitive team in the Pac-10, you all can come tell me how great a program Mitch/Joker runs and how Leach doesn't.

    When a WKU player's telling your team "They posta be SEC", it was my first indication we got issues. I guess the loss to them next season will be yours.

    Proven winner with ZERO conference titles, or even close to one in a conference that plays ZERO NADA NONE ZILCH of anything resembling a defense. But for some reason there are people that wanted a guy to coach a team in THE defense conference.

    The loser has a job now. He will NOT be coaching at UK. As long as MB is here he will NEVER coach here. Please for the live of GOD...LET IT GO!!!

    We have a better shot at Les "The Wizard" Miles or Nick Saban , but I forgot...the only reason we dont have a top 5 coach is simply cause MB wont call them. My bad.

    I didn't hear those WKU players in 2010? Yeah getting blasted 63-28 will shut most people up! And when we beat them next year by 30+ points I doubt we'll hear "SEC" from anyone on the WKU sideline.

    Western will be even better next year, it will not a be push over game coming off UofL game.

    We beat them with maybe the worst starting QB we've had since the forward pass. That wont (well shouldn't) be the case next year. To even pretend we would lose to WKU is as agenda based as anything I've read here.

    Tommy - I never said anything about him coming to UK. I was comparing the commitment to football of the WSU administration versus the UK administration. Also get your facts straight b/c ignorance is not bliss. You say he never came close to winning a conference title. Well he won the southern division in 2008. He went to two Cotton Bowls and 10 bowl games. He was 84-43 in a tough conference. Plus if you think Joker is in the same stratosphere coaching as Mike Leach you have lost your mind.

    WSU may only have a 39,000 seat stadium but once they pour $150 million into stadium improvements, recruiting room, and football building my guess is that they will have a nicer venue than UK does. I know we have put $10-$15 million in football improvements over the past decade, but that doesn't touch whant $150 million can do. Just look at TCU they raised $143 million. There new and improved stadium will only hold 43,000, but will blow Commonwealth out of the water.

    Point is many schools with smaller budgets are committing big time to football. UK is not and many of the folks on this board laugh it off. We are stuck with a coordinator and ZERO NADA NONE ZILCH in the way of a written plan for improvement or ZERO NADA NONE ZILCH chance at sniffing a divisional title in a weak SEC east. Warmother, put in Richie....

    I agree that it should be the end of the discussion. However, if it's the end, then people can't be made fun of for posting their dumb agendas against UK football and how they would rather see Joker and Barnhart fail.
