MissState needs to keep Stansbury......I mean who would they get to come to Starkville?

Not coming across as ostentatious in half his posts?

    KyDisciple3

  • In his defense he's taken a lot of crap from people with different opinions of his and he's not the only one to ever champion being right on this site. Why don't those who need to eat crow eat it and let him shine? Miss St was nothing more that Moulrie and Bost. They showed that tonight.

Yes yes Prof. your message board posting is standing in the way of you being a real success. Try to clean it up will ya?

Evidently I'm the only one that found that slightly obnoxious. Apologies.

Luckily, there's not another flag somewhere else, waving at half-mast for your butt right now. Evidently, you are ignorantly unaware of what kinds of connections, the Professor has at his disposal.

I'm glad (for you) that your white flag card was played, as quick as it was. thumbsup

Kidding man... but in all seriousness, the Professor is one of TCP's greatest assets. He has many friends on here who appreciate his input... and we back him 100%

Yeah, State underachieved big time this year, I expected them to be so much more. The Prof is correct.

I heard that Harvard is the Vanderbilt of the north.

On another site someone posted that Jelly Donut (Sidney) tweeted "I'm out" shortly after the MSU loss. Stansbury stuck with that idiot way too long. I agree with USMCF - His job is probably safe as long as he's at least in tournament contention most years. Because who in their right mind would want to go to dump? If I were a successful mid-major coach, I wouldn't dream of going there unless they were offering crazy money.

KD3 - I don't see anything in the OP that could rub anyone the wrong way.

    BigTyrone

  • And is there a city in the country with a more appropriate name than Starkville?

    BigTyrone

  • Stansbury has to lose his job. Mississippi St. had too much talent to lose in the first round of the NIT.

  • Stansbury after last night's game:

"You know, I haven’t given it any thought and I think you know this: what we’ve done through 14 years speaks for itself. That’s all I can say about it."

If he's talking about under performing/achieving, then I agree. It does speak for itself.

Renardo Sidney 15 minutes after last night's game via Twitter:

    @LawInOrder: I'm out!!

    What a waste.

    There bound to get you
    'cuz they got a curfew
and you go to the Starkville City Jail.

Stansbury was fighting hard against the elimination of the two divisions for good reason. It sounds a lot better to say they're the best in the west rather than the 5th or 6th in the conference. Their recognition level has dropped and will continue to do so.

  • The only time State ,and LSU show up to seriously play basketball is when they play the Cats. Both were terrible in last nights games and definitely proved Cal right when he says UK is the opponents "Super Bowl."

On Professor's behalf- I have been posting with him for the better part of 10 years. He is one of the more intelligent, well rounded and least belligerent posters I have ever been around. And he puts a lot of effort into his posts. Sometimes it is easy to read too much into posts. peace

Stricklin's going to have to make a huge decision on Stansbury: gamble he can get somebody better or some up and comer who can win or keep Stansbury and remain stagnant or worse. Stansbury destroyed any and all credibility with the Sidney fiasco and basically let that baby ruin his program. I respect Bost and I watched Steele play many times in high school and think he's got a bright future. Moultrie seems like a hardworking kind of guy too so I feel sorry for those guys but have zero sympathy for Stansbury. He made his bed.

    MoC

  • It's not just that they lost, but HOW they lost. At times nobody was guarding anybody. It sort of looked like an all-star game minus the talent. The MSU kids looked totally lost. What a shame.

Him jumping on Twitter that soon after the end of a game tells you almost everything you need to know about Renaldo Sidney. What a waste of talent.
