Mobley is already beasting!

  • This Cantrell McKinley is a 6' 220 lb safety/RB from Texas. Should be interesting to see if he is worthy of the summer buzz.

  • I think Mobley is just what the doctor ordered. Not only is he 6'0 225..on his highlight tape no one caught him from behind and he seems to have tremendous field-vision. I think he will be a huge factor for Uk going forward. I like where we are right now. Tons of young talent...that will push each other for reps. In the SEC..is not a question of if..but to whom and when injuries will occur...so depth is almost as important as how good your starters are.
    Justin Taylor is also a beast. If Bama offers you..you can most assuredly play SEC ball.
    UK has made a considerable push towards O and D Linemen and this is where you have to be good. I dont care if you have Herschel Walker at TB, if your O-Line sucks..your running game wil too. Also..I think we are in great shape up front on D, with Cobble and Rumph here the next 2 years...and guys like Thomas Chapman, Coleman, and now Jacob Hyde and any other Dt's we sign this year waiting in the wings.

  • His body language summed up to me: the only negative I gathered from a video showing his shoulders up is that he did not make much eye contact. Maybe that had to do with the fact that it's sunny, he's not wearing sunglasses and he's wearing a suit in 100 degree weather...

  • If we can pass to set up the run like Joker wants we've got several guys that can break big runs. I picture a future with Towels at QB, Mobely, Taylor and Clemons at RB, and Sweat, Legree, Collins, Robinson and Cunningham at WR. That some pretty damn good talent. Maybe even surpasses what we had in 07.

    Joker will have a young team this yr but if can coach them up UK will win 6 games with next yr being big yr. Joker has nothing to loose this yr to me he knows a loosing rec and he is gone. So to me he should let it all hang out on the offensive side and be very creative on the D. Bait the other teams on D take more chances to win. Dont play not to loose play to win.

    ESPN reported 40 time of 4.79 and shuttle of 4.06. BTW, a 4.79 for an ESPN 40 is fast and the shuttle is blazing fast.

    As a point of reference, ESPN has James Quick with a 40 time of 4.72 and a shuttle of 4.65.

    247Sports has Mobley with a 4.55 in the 40

    I'm sorry Minter but I totally disagree. Joker sounded like any other football coach in an interview. Thought he did a nice job.

    Yeah, I expected to see Joker with his head down and muttering with the way minter put it. He was with the locals and I thought he did fine, the volume was alittle low being outside and the wind but I really don't understand the body language comment. Oh well, its minter.

    Neither Joker or Charlie Strong are particularly good public speakers, and I've seen (vid) and heard (radio) plenty of examples of Joker doing a terrible job. This is by no means one of the worst I've seen.

    I will say, Joker, though still not outstanding, has improved his public speaking skills since he first took over. In some ways, I think he's taken on, his own version, of some of coach Brooks brooding personality when he's speaking after a loss though.

    Personally, if I hired these coaches, I would also hire public speaking coaches for them, and make damn sure they were a little better at expressing themselves when adressinig the public. Of course, when they are wining, it doesn't really matter all that much, but when you are losing, it sticks out like a sore thumb.

    I noticed that too. Does Charlie have a speech impediment? I mean that in all seriousness. He really doesn't finish multiple syllable words or talk in complete sentences consistently.

    Lol...thats a southern thang my man. Alabama, Mississippi, and Arkansas are terrible for not finishing their words. Its very thick in those three states. Just as KY has its own very unique dialect(s)

  • I assure you, Joker is just fine in a kid's living room. Complain if you like about coaching style, aggressiveness, etc, but his ability to communicate on a 1-to-1 level is excellent.

    Mobley is going to be a beast, as is Taylor. If our O-line can hold up, our running game looks to be in good shape for years to come.

    Not really. I have family from the deep south. What Charlie does is not southern dialect. It is a stutter of some sort.

    Cmon bro, those 3 southern states are notorious for leavin the ends of their words off, but just like KY, its regional. Not all folks from KY have the same accents and dialect as some. Eastern ky has what seems like a whole other language as those in western KY, and central KY is completely different than both.

    As for Cholly, he does have a stutter but he still has a strong Arkansas accent at times.

    Either way....what does it matter? Lol
    Im not sure how or why this site has continued to have so many threads (not at all aimed at you) about UofLOL recently.

    Who the hell cares about little brother? Unless its a direct impact on UK in some way then why even talk about them? I just saw a thread about Loserville joining 247....Whoopty Fn do!

    And the best 2 RB's out of Georgia the year before (that are still playing college FB). Clemons and Caffey were 2nd only to Crowell, and we know how that ended. Our running game will be SOLID.
