Defination: He wants his release but I asked him to think about it for a few days and maybe he willl change his mind.

I would absolutely love to have Harrell on UK's team next year! Harrell along with Noel and Poythress would be 3 pretty darn good replacements for Davis, Gilchrist and Jones. Defense and rebounding is what made UK so good last year. And I feel like those 3 guys can get UK back close to that same level.

In short, yes. At this point, I think Harrell and Mays are the only two guys that Cal would be willing to take. Not even sure Jefferson is in the mix.

Apparently he has asked for his release..I have watched video of him and would like to have him..We can use some beef like that on our team at this time..

I want Harrell in our class more than any other big still out there, INCLUDING Bennett. Kid looks to be an absolutely perfect fit for the DDMO.

I think he's a better fit than Bennett right now. Long term, probably not. But for next year's team, yes. That's the key. They need a true power forward with his kind of bulk and wingspan.

Agreed. Bennett has more bulk and as much wingspan. However, this guy gets after it. not quite as big but similar to Joey Dorsey. We need guys like this sprinkled in the program. With the right type of attitude, this is the four year type of player Cal needs.

Agree. And I've always thought, while Bennett is talented and will be great in the future, he views himself more as a 3 than a 4.

He's the same class as Bazz and Bennett.
He had signed an LOI with Virginia Tech and has asked for a release because they fired the coach.

We had him rated as a 4-star and No. 78 overall in the 2012 class. High energy/high motor guy.
To use an analogy, the closer it gets to closing time at the bar, the prettier the girls start to look.
Not as much about how good Harrell is. He fits a very specific need that UK has.
