I don't see how there isn't an NFL team out there not willing to take a chance on DT. He will disappoint some teams who took a look and passed him up. One of the dominant defensive players I've ever seen at UK in my short life.

What kills me is Lavonte David (Nebraska OLB) and Shawn Spence (Miami OLB) are both way higher rated...

I know Danny was suppose to work out for the Seahawks, and on their site or a team site they said a few weeks back that they want to get Danny in the 6th and the Big DT from VA, the Conrath kid in the 7th.

This is really crazy Danny is longer and bigger than both David and Spence. The only thing they have over Danny is a 40 time, but on the grass neither one compares. I watch alot of Miami games with a buddy when i'm not at a UK game and even he said "Danny is the best 4-3 OLB, I can ever remember seeing play" and he's been a Miami fan for 20 years...

As much as Cobb being a late 2nd rounder was a joke this is a way bigger joke if he doesn't get drafted... I really do wish he would have participated in the SR bowl, I think he and Guy could have helped themselves but I think Guy was hurt then... I also wish Danny would have done all the events at the NFL combine if healthy... His instincts and playing speed really seperate him from both the David and Spence kid. The crazy thing is David is listed as a top 20 LB and Spence is listed as a top 10 by all and a top 5 by some... And Danny isn't even listed in the top 20 by almost all "EXPERTS"...

I hope other SEC staffs don't start to use this against us, in the end I think Danny will be fine, all he needs to do is go to a 4-3 team and prove his worth. Some are saying he's a special teamer but even that makes me upset. I know he's a for real starting OLB in the NFL. Why teams like the Falcons, Panthers aren't all over him really blows my mind since they have saw him so much... Glad that it seems Winston will atleast get drafted though... I do think Danny gets a chance and when he does you can count on it, it'll fuel his fire... It would not surprise me at all if he's All-pro by his 3rd year...

I said the same thing about Wesley Woodyard that I'll say about Danny Trevathan: When random centers, punters, kickers, long snappers, backup DBs, etc. get selected over the SEC's leading tackler, that tells me all I need to know about so-called NFL "scouts." You don't lead college's best football conference in tackling by accident. To heck with their shortcomings (size, or whatever else those may be). Trevathan is a player. And much like Woodyard led the Broncos in tackling this season, it would not surprise me to see Trevathan lead whatever team is lucky enough to land him in tackles in a year or two. Heck, I'd love to see him team back up with Cobb in Green Bay.

The over analyzing by the NFL when it comes to players is comical at times. This is one of those times.

OMG!!!! You just said it too... Sorry if I piss you off but please man, he's way better than to just be a kickoff-coverage guy and as much as I liked Woodyard, Danny is better than Woodyard. I love both and both are similar but Danny is bigger than Woodyard and has better instints. Woodyard runs better but Danny plays just as fast and hits the hole faster and harder than any LB in the SEC... It's amazing what 10# and a inch could do for his draft status. No doubt if he played on a team like GA, FL or Bama he would go on the first day. This is a real joke, no way Danny is only a special teamer, yea he may have to start out there but if I were any 4-3 team in the country I would draft him unless I had 2 very good Weak-side LB's... JMO...

I think both will get drafted in the 5th-7th range, I believe WalterFootball has Winston in the 6th and DT in the 7th!
