Anybody with half a brain knows that what OU does now is not the mumme system. They also know that what OU did in their national title year is not/was not the mumme system.

Anybody with half a brain knows that what A&M does is not the mumme system.

Just because you lineup in the shotgun with 3 or more wide receivers does not make it the mumme system. Just because somebody played for somebody who coached under mumme does not mean that they run the mumme system.

If Neal comes to UK Stoops may significantly alter the offense and allow Neal to run the new offense. Hell, we may run Neal's version of mumme's offense. (It is similar, whereas Sumlin's system and OU's system is not) But I highly doubt that Stoops will run the mumme system as we know it. You can't win a BCS conference title with the offense. that's been proven. It's never won a bcs conference title.

We will try to help you understand. You can do it!

The offenses at Texas A & M, Oklahoma, and many other schools are variations of the Hal Mumme/Mike Leach spread offenses. Sure each coach including Kevin Sumlin adds their own little spices to the recipe, but it is the same recipe.

    Read this article:

What part are you having difficulty comprehending?

    Is it the 1 + 2 = 3 or is it C is after A and B?

Thank you for proving my point. I said that they incorporate some of the mumme system. That's what the article said.
The designed qb runs and the play action off of those are not part of the mumme system.

"Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is a personality disorder in which the individual is described as being excessively preoccupied with issues of personal adequacy, power, prestige and vanity. This condition affects one percent of the population."

"Hop"....no doubt you are in the one percent!!

What disorder is it when somebody labels somebody with a disorder when they have never met them?

Just because an element of an offense is included in a playbook doesn't make it the offense in which you have an element from.

Every offense in college football probably has some triple option principles. Does that make the offense the "triple option"? If course not.

  • Yeah, OU, A&M do run variations of Mumme/Leach system. I'm sure each coach has tweaked it and changed it, it has grown over the years. But the philosophy behind the system and how those teams execute the offensive gameplan is still the same.

Tech fans seem kind of divided on Brown, alot seem to think Tubbs has alot of control over the offense, and that he has limited Brown. That really is the only reason any of them think that he would leave Tech for UK.
