so now that the news is out and final. what are the experts opinions on what this does to his draft stock, moves him well down right?
any chance he comes back to prove himself post-injury and regain his top 5 pick status?
draft will be inside of 4 months from his surgery date. the absolute worst thing Noel could do is rush this.

Dr. Andrews is the best. What happened to RGlll was just a freak thing. Most of the pros go to him for ligament surgery. All players don't respond the same after a serious surgery. I don't know who did Adrian Petersons surgery, but, he came back fine. It all depends on the player and how he rehabs.

He'll still be a lottery pick, probably top 10 and maybe top 5-6. It's all based on potential anyway and he can recover from an ACL and still possibly play half an NBA schedule next year. At worst, they get him back for 2014-15. I can't imagine he's come back with the risks associated. He could re-injure it, play poorly, any number of things that hurt his stock even more. Plus, if he goes now he can go ahead and get his clock started toward a second contract, which is where guys make their money anyway.
The bigger question is how this development affects Willie Cauley-Stein. He was considered a borderline lottery pick based on potential alone and now with the lion's share of playing time he could either work himself higher than that or perhaps show enough flaws that he comes back for one more season.
