Neutral Site Game

  • Where, who & why would you like to see a game on a neutral court?

    Chicago & Notre Dame
Chicago is becoming a very important & fertile area for Cal's recruiting. A game there every couple of years would keep UK in the minds of all the up & coming recruits.

  • I wouldn't mind beating down UCLA a couple of time in New Orleans or Dallas.

  • As I mentioned in one of the scheduling threads yesterday, 2-year neutral site contract with Texas makes sense on a lot of levels. Play host this year (Louisville, Nashville, Cincinnati, etc) and then play at Cowboys Stadium in 2013-14 season. The Final Four is there that season. It's a fertile recruiting area. Texas is quality program.

Agree. I think that would be a good fit for both programs. Excellent option.

  • Texas always has amazing talent. (Twins, Randle, Fraizer just from 2013. 3 in top 10 of rivals)

So Cowboys Stadium and Louisville (or Indianapolis) against University of Texas.

Also playing at Chicago. Rose, Davis, and next is Parker. Always top talent coming out from Chicago area.

  • CHICAGO. I'd freaking love that. I'd actually get to go to a game then!

I think Indy and Dallas would be pretty awesome. Play in some awesome stadiums and in some pretty decent recruiting grounds.

  • Don't forget, UK playing Michigan State in Chicago for the Champions Classic not this season but next season. Very much looking forward to that. Enjoyed the UK-MSU series in the mid-2000s.

Would love to see some west coast flavor added to the schedule. Maybe UCLA or Arizona in Los Angeles.

Maybe Ohio State in Indianapolis or as has been mentioned, Texas in Dallas/Nashville.

I'd love to play there--I've been hoping we'll make the Cotton Bowl so I can see the place, but this might be a more realistic route.

But I wonder if Texas has the kind of fans that would drive 4-5 hours to help fill that barn up. Maybe Kansas would be a better partner.

Syracuse in MSG would be sweet.

MSG should be an annual appearance for us by rotating opponents. Maybe a game in the new Nets arena in Brooklyn (are we scheduled there already?

Yeah, that's where the Maryland game is next November. I believe it's the first college game in Barclays Arena.
