During fan day, the players were talking with each other about a new helmet. They were talking like they were told they were going to have a new design and they were trying to figure out what it was going to be.

That's just plain ugly!

Looks like a BU helmet (Butt Ugly). Why not just a pile of turkey droppings?

When your official nickname doesn't actually mean anything (Hokies), and your actual mascot is a friggin' turkey...well, there's only so many ways you can shine that up. May as well own it.

As a Virginia resident, I must say that several folks are big fans of VT continuing to be on the leading edge of uniform design.

With the white helmet, they should put a dripping brown gravy decal on top...

Stupid for an awesome program like Va Tech to do that. Their regular uni's and colors look cool enough. Thats a program that I've always thought was pretty impressive. The way they play D and Special teams combined with the athletic QB's they always seem to have. Yet when people talk about the ACC a lot of times they are left out. People wanna talk about Miami and FSU. Va Tech has been the most consistently good program in the ACC for years.

I fully expect South Carolina to follow suit.
