Having a good UofL team in the ACC and a good UK team in the SEC helps the state, so we all win. Not sure why everyone gets so up in arms about the rivalry, just remember we are all Kentuckians. Granted I want my Cards to absolutely destroy UK every year, but other than that I root for the UK teams.
And please lets not get started talking about attendance. UK has a great track record of over exaggerating the number of people at the games. The more you lose the higher the disparity between announced and actual attendance becomes. Oh and I just found this gem, UK has actually stopped recording their attendance records all together. You stay classy kitty cats.

I think Louisville should have pushed FSU a little harder and tried to get into the Big 12 with the Noles. Yes, the ACC is a better payday than what the Big East had. But it is nothing compared to the Big 12. The new ACC when this is all said and done will be mostly what the former Big East was; a basketball conference with a lot of the same teams in it. It's already happening.
Louisville had to go somewhere though. They are in a little bit of financial trouble. They are losing their butt right now on the YUM Center. That deal isn't going as well as they thought it would.
