That's very true, but young men are still impressionable. I would trust Joker and Co Far more than Petrino for example. I'm assuming by your username you understand what service to our country can do for a young mans character as well. Joker is genuinely concerned about these young men. There are several other coaches I would probably trust as well, but at my house we wear blue ;)

We haven't won 8 games in the regular season this decade. The "steady downhill trend" has been from 7 wins (and a bowl win/loss) to 5 wins last year. No-one disputes that the team has taken a step back, but we haven't gone that far downhill. Certainly not taking into account the good things the team has done lately.
You suggesting that someone has "skewed data" to meet "needs" is ridiculous. His statement is legitimate. One regular season under .500. Is that fact somehow skewed?
You say that there are other options, I'm interested to know what you call yourself.

12 years ago, UK was 2-9 while Hal Dumme was driving the program off the edge of a very steep cliff with crippling probation waiting at the bottom.
12 years ago, South Carolina was beating tO$U like a drum in the Outback Bowl.
I'd say that they were light years apart.
Now I have a question.
TOBC took the job at Carolina from another HOF coach in Lou Holtz. Why did it take TOBC 7 years before he had a season with less than 5 losses?

UK was actually ahead of S. Carolina at that point. In 1998 i think they won 1 game. In Lou Holtz' first year they went winless. But they got a hall of fame head coach and he got the ball rolling a little bit. Not the results they wanted but he made improvements. Then the ole ball coach came along and now they are competing for SEC East championships. So no they wasn't that far apart.

That would be 14 years instead of 12, which was Minterwonderland's timeline. 12 years ago, UK was a dismal 2-9 and headed for NCAA probation, while Carolina was 8-4 and thumping tO$U in the Outback Bowl, which they would follow up the following year with another Outback Bowl win against tO$U and a 9-3 record. The programs were miles apart.
I will ask again, why did it take a HOF coach like TOBC (who was handed the program by another HOF coach in Lou Holtz) 7 seasons to finally have a season where he lost less than 5 games? I've asked this question elsewhere and no one ever seems to have an answer.
