OT: DeMarcus Smith

I know this doesn't have anything to do with UK football, but where did DeMarcus Smith end up? I know he commited to UofL but backed out when they took Bridgewater. He then was going to UCF but he got mixed up with the Brandon Bender mess & I don't think he ever showed up there. Latest rumor was that he was going to WKU but I don't know if that has ever been confirmed. Just curious if anyone knows. Pretty talented QB. It would be a shame if he didn't get a chance to play somewhere.

He is enrolled at WKU, although I do not believe he has been cleared to play by the NCAA just yet.

he's at WKU. can't play this year or practice(which makes no sense).

If he had just committed to UK and Joker (who he said was like a father figure to him). Oh well, his loss. I'm happy with "our Smith" instead.

I am a student at WKU, and he is enrolled but not yet cleared, if he is, they expect him to push Jakes (starting QB at WKU) for the starting spot, but going from UCF to pUkeofL to WKU has really hurt his chances, but I talked to a WKU coach during the spring and he said it looks like Smith will sit out this year more than likely baring a miracle.

So basically if he is not cleared to play at WKU until 2013 he will have played 1 season (his HS senior year) in the last 4. There is going to be a lot of rust on those legs and that arm.

That's pretty sad in itself considering it's all on him; listened to Charlie and then backed away once TB committed, now he's going to hopefully play at WKU instead of competing for a spot in a BCS conference.

he would be in the hunt for starting this year. if he can practice in spring he'll most likely start next year. reports were he looked good this spring until the nazi army hit.

Hell Jakes aint all that great. I was hoping the kid that injured his knee last season could have beat him out (name escapes me at present). DaMarcus is a very good QB, and as a fellow WKU student, I hope he earns the starting job soon. Lots of very good transfers into the program, lately.
