Danny Sheridan is saying he knows who the NCAA thinks was the bagman in the Cam Newton fiasco. Anybody have any ideas? Pat Dye, Bo Jackson, Gene Chizik
. I doubt the NCAA will ever prove anything and no, I don't think any of the mentioned were the culprit.

Sheridan is refusing to reveal the name because people will lose their job and lawyers will start lining up for civil suits. It amazes me that this kind of money apparently changed hands. But then it is the SEC.
By the way, does Sheridan have one foot in the grave? That guy looks like death warmed over.

If he discloses the bagman (which there is), he will be sued. That is fact (hello Albert Means case) and he discussed as much today and last week on Finebaum. When (not if) that happens, he will have to give a deposition under oath, thus disclosing his source(s). That is the problem. He is stuck in a catch 22.

Then shut up about it and stop self-promoting saying you know all this info. He's bringing it on himself. What is he gaining by continuing to talk about something he won't talk about? Oh yeah, self-promotion. That was my point. To me, he's interested in being a part of the story, being the guy who can later say he knew about it all along, or getting more name recognition for his other ventures and nothing more. And oh, right, he's an Alabama alum. I'd hazard a guess he has an interest in seeing Auburn dragged through the mud or taken down. I'm just saying that unless he is actually going to say something of substance other than a dressed up version of 'Na Na Na Boo Boo, I know something more than you' he should zip it up, stop accepting every interview request and then talk when the whole thing is resolved.

Okay, who was the bagman for Auburn?
