Charlie Strong was born in Batesville, Arkansas. After lettering for four years ( 1980–1983) at the University of Central Arkansas.....
I normally wouldn't bring up a U of L topic on our football board, but since this could impact the future of the in-state rivalry, what do you think are the chances that Charlie Strong would be offered and/or accept the University of Arkansas head coaching position if John L. Smith and the Arkansas football team continues to struggle or underachieve this year?

If UL goes to the B12 like alot are predicting, I think Strong would be smart to stay at UL.. Competing against the SEC west year in, year out, is a tough sell.. To me, the best scenario for UL is to have the ACC expand and them get added to there conference..The only way I'd leave UL if I were Strong, is if UL gets stuck in the BEast, because that's going to be nothing more than a glorified CUSA.

Not many are talking about this, but I have to think he would be on Mitch's list. I don't think he'd want the job though, because he would be looking for an SEC job where he won't have to competely rebuild. I imagine he'd also want to go somewhere where they are more comitted to football as a whole.

I have to respectfully disagree with you on this one. While Kentucky isn't exactly an SEC football powerhouse, it's not the worst job in NCAA football either. By far. And not that I'd want it to happen either, but if CJP was to be dismissed as our head football coach, Kentucky could certainly do worse than "Cholly ". JMHO.

Why do you just follow me around and try to find a way to glean something you consider hateful towards the team out of my post? You do realize that Charlie Strong's team plays an entirely different style of football than UK don't you? I'm assuming he will take that style with him wherever he goes, and most SEC teams are already more built for it than UK. Hence, he would have to rebuild much more at UK than at Arkansas, Florida, or Tenn.
Get a life man. I'm sorry you seem to be obsessed with me, and my post.
