Our lines got dominated today..

  • We we flat out horrible today..Our defense could not stop Trinity...Every drive is 6-7 minutes and a TD...Our front 4 was pushed around like rag dolls..It is truly
embarrassing..Our O line appeared to quit after the first quarter..Several of those guys are so slow that they cannot block anyone...Our QB's were pressured for most
of the day and theirs had all day to do what he wanted...Mitch needs to pull the plug tonight and give everyone hope for the future...This made me ill today..

  • This is the major problem with UK football. Lines get dominated weekly. I don't know if it's poor talent, coaching, or a combination of both. No pass rush, or pass protection. The QBs will help the O-line get better if they can get enough time to make progressions. I think D-line is as simple as a talent deficency. UK is not going to be able to get the better lineman until they start winning, so, that means alot of coaching them up.

  • Summers was a good coach in Petrino's system; Turner is horrible, reminds me of Spike Lee trying to coach football.

  • Guys any o-line that has to go through the changes in QB'S that UK has will look bad. If they were able to just block for Smith and Towles they look good. With Whitlow and Newton it's a totally different animal. Don't blame them. Towles should have been second string from the get go.

Your last sentence is very telling. Why in the world would a coaching staff put so much time and effort into implementing an offense, and then have backups that can't execute it? I think this type of thing has happened more often than not with Joker and he has to bear the responsibility for where we are.
