POLL: To Show How "Split" BBN is...

  • Here's your options...

    Would you rather...

A - See our team win the rest of the way out and Joker get a 5 year contract extension?

    or...

B - See our team lose the rest of the way out and GUARANTEE Joker gets fired... and replaced with a bigger name, proven coach?

There... maybe that "edit" will help more TRUTH show up.

  • Oh... and for the record, I choose "A".

  • A for sure.

    MaineCat

  • In this hypothetical - A is the easy answer, but if Joker were capable of pulling that off, there wouldn't be as much blood in the water as there is now.

    bluedynasty

  • Looks like no one wants to show their true colors by picking "B"... I guess they're afraid of the backlash.

If I'm wrong (or if SOME people have the nerve to be honest)... we should see a few "B's" on here soon.

Let me be the first to say... "I WILL NOT BASH ANYONE FOR BEING HONEST". If you really want to see Joker replaced, no matter the cost...then man up.

Not really... there are many who have their minds made up and they want Joker gone. PERIOD. Even if it means another miserable losing season... they just want to see a bigger name coach hired to turn things around. I'm sure we'll see some (with the brass) admit it... at some point.

  • I want Joker gone but reeling off seven wins would completely change my opinion.

I just want to c Ky football where it needs and should b on top.... Bleed no BLUER OR TRUER than me but this coaching staff has done little to improve these young men. Joker has no fire or fight on that sidelines what so ever I could just imagine what they get out of practice from him. But anyway it's for a change and to jump start this program... Thanks so B for me

My "true color" is BLUE and I sure as shit would rather have us win 7 straight then finish 1-11 bro...regardless of who our coach is.

    MaineCat

  • Um, if a coach won 7 straight...pretty sure most everyone would pick A.

That would mean he finishes 8-4?

That's fantastic. LOL, why wouldn't people pick A?

Just given my honest opinion would love to c these guys win 7 straight not going to happen. Joker is not the man period for this job.

UM ... No... cause that would be picking A "after" the fact. That was not an option... try picking A or B "NOW".

yeah but your comments aren't taking the poll correctly. YOu twisted the question

You still assume that option A won't happen. The point is if it did, would you choose 8-4 or 1-11 with new coach.

If coach can win 7 straight, then obviously you would also be happy.

  • I think for the most part everyone would say lets keep Joker and win 7 more games this year. Now if you were to say we beat vandy, miss st, ark, and samford. Win 5 games this season and give him a three extention, then it might get a little trickier. At that point i would probabky say i would rather lose those games and get a bigger name coach. But if we win 7 more i would say keep joker.

  • Some of you are missing the question.... I'm not talking about what you'd be okay with "IF" (or after) Joker wins out or loses out.

I wanna know how you'd prefer the season play out (from here on), based on what you want the most...
"a losing season and Joker gone" or "a winning season and Joker staying"?

I know there are many who want a new coach so bad, they'd be fine with us losing out... if it guaranteed a coaching change. I just wanna see who's willing to admit it.

  • Not true for most. I would love to see Joker succeed and have UK in the top half of the SEC for the next 20 years. If Joker can run off 7 straight wins (or even 5 of the next seven) I would have absolutely no problem giving him another year. What I don't want to see is Joker constanly beating the three non-UL OoC opponents and then two or three games like Vandy, Miss St. or a struggling team like this year's Arkansas squad every year and getting an annual reprieve - especially if the team is gonna come out of the tunnel four or five games (or more) a year looking poorly-prepared or motivated.

While I fully agree that being the HC @ UK carries certain disavantges in in-state talent base, budget etc. as opposed to their SEC brethren and I don't see UK being a perrenial member of the SEC elite, I don't see any reason why the right man cannot get the UK program in a position to win four OOC games a year and 3-4 SEC games each season. I also think that UL's (much less WKU's) best should be UK's floor. If those program's can field squad's of that caliber this year, UK should do be able to do it on an annual basis. The right coach would come out of a string of MSU, Arky, Mizzou, Vandy, UGa, Samford and UT with no fewer than four or five wins, IMO. I think that is doable.

I am by no means convinced Joker can get there and UK can't afford another year.of backsliding waiting for him to prove it.

Run a follow up Poll and ask everyone to honestly predict whether they believe UK will be closer to 7-0 or 0-7 by the end of the remaining string of games. Asking if fans would rather UK end the season 7-0 or 0-7 is loaded and silly.

  • A, and I hope Dooley coaches his last game against the Cats and goes down as the only person in the history of UT to have a losing record to UK.

Also, our record would be 9-4 because we'd go to a bowl and win that too if we won out. I don't think you can pass up nine wins at UK for ANY REASON.

    jamccain

  • The better quetion JJ, would be would you rather us get to 5 wins and Joker have the chance at keeping his job or not so Joker would be fired. No one is going to pick against an 8 win season for the cats and a nice bowl game. So A is the obvious answer.

I can agree with that being the better question.

However, I know there are some who would give up an eight win season if they knew it would mean the end of Joker's era... but I doubt any of them want to admit it.

    1) Troll/bait question. Answer is A.

    2) No one is "missing" the the point of your question as it is obvious.

    3) If you truly think the fan base is split in the manner of your original post, you way off.

People want Joker gone cause he is not winning (you may need this explained). You, in your OP take away the reason people want him gone and then ask if the still do...? The fan base is NOT split on Joker the man, we are split on wanting to win (people like me) and wanting to play nice (people like you).

.....Then you have a problem with Joker personally that you may want to seek help with if you want him gone even with great success.

Sorry, gotta ask. Are you from the eastern KY Mountains bordering West Virginia?
