What can they have to offer right now that we don't? Better league UK, better stadium UK, better team UK, better facilities UK, 4 straight wins UK.

They have some really good recruiters on their staff, and they have a much easier road to a BCS game. Makes a big difference. I would assume they are selling early PT still, and they have some positive momentum coming from last season (which was a success considering the expectations they had). Outside of (arguably) having a good recruiting staff, UK can/did not offer any of the rest of this.
That said, I will reiterate my disappointment in losing him. Really, really want this kid.

Well, damn. I really wanted him. Hopefully West turns out to be as good as everyone seems to think, b/c I think its a foregone conclusion that he'll commit this week...especially now.

Doubt it.
TCU & WVU may have something to say about that. And USF always recruits well.
CS told him he could "have the No 1 CB spot" according to Aaron. Wow, that's good recruiting? Telling a HS kid that he's already got the starting spot? And these dumb kids believe him..SMH
I'm glad we don't go around telling kids they can have a starting spot. I'm sure the kids already at UL are happy to hear that lol.
Strong had some early buzz but at least one highly touted CB didn't make it and IIRC most of the transfers they got have already left?
What matters IMO is what happens on the field and so far Joker is one up on Cholly. I see win #2 coming this year.

Louisville will not take over the Big East. WVU, TCU, South Florida, and Pitt all will continue to be better than UofL. I also want to see how many of these kids will stay on after UofL has a losing season this year, a lot of their better commits from last year will not step foot on campus this year or possibly ever.

I meant more from the perspective of the fanbase, so that we won't get the couple weeks of doom and gloom that seems to linger until our next commit.
I would've liked to have both of them. My hunch is Parnell is the better cover corner at this stage (just because he's a pretty damn good HS cover corner), but I'm having trouble finding any good video of West actually playing CB to really form an opinion. I can tell that he's a bit more developed physically than Parnell at this stage, so I'd imagine he's a little better in run support
It'll be interesting to see if Parnell does see the field early for UL, because I could see big receivers giving him some real problems early on in his career.
