I don't have an agenda. I am pro-Joker and always have been. As far as taking a wait-and-see approach with Parnell, that is what I said is likely happening on UK's end. But, Parnell was not willing to wait, obviously, and committed to UofL. Parnell wants to take what he has instead of what he may have in the future. You can't fault him for that. But, IMO, not getting Parnell is a recruiting loss for Joker. Torn ACL or not, Parnell is a talented kid at a need position.

I think the loss is he is hurt but I don't see it as Joker losing him to UL. He isn't a talented prospect with one good knee. He is a risk.

Parnell would be filling the last scholarship for the DBs. UK has 3 talented players already filling that and will add the 4th on Friday in Jadarius West.

We may never know for sure but it is apparently more complicated than originally thought. I would think UK is finally in a position to want to see Parnell work out or play a few games before taking his commitment. While Lindley turned out great you can go through the history of UKFB and find a lot more guys who "fell" to us with serious HS injuries who never contributed for some reason. I wish him the best and he probably made a good decision based on the current set of rumors.

Agree, except corner is not a need position. We would be fine if we do not sign another one in this class but we will take one more in all likelihood.

True we have something like 8 CBs projected for next years roster without adding anyone else.

I think now with Holtz under the reign there, you'll see some big time improvements.

West, in all likelihood, will commit Friday. He is also a very talented CB, just not ballyhooed like Parnell. He is very quick and covers well. Of course, like DT, corners are very hard to project, but West has what you look for in a corner coming out of HS. He'll be a great pick-up.

Every credible report says that we told him we wanted to wait and see how he progresses. This kid might be very good, but we're at the point with the depth we've built to not have to take risks on kids. If James Andrews was this kid's surgeon I'd be ok with it. But when we don't control the surgery and rehab then we can't take a risk.
Joker did the right thing.

So, we should wait, but him jumping on an offer from UofL is "a loss for us" and "Joker losing to UofL"? How are we losing if we don't offer? You have an agenda and it's obvious.

There is NO agenda on my part. You've been around long enough to know I am pro-Joker. I rarely, if ever, criticize him or the staff. Joker wanted to wait and see how he progresses from his knee injury, which is the smart thing to do. The kid wasn't willing to wait, which is understandable. So, he committed to UofL. IMO, to some degree, that is a loss for Joker. In the end, it does not matter. The 'Cats have some very good DB already in the fold and will add another one on Friday in West.

If posters on here are attacking alphacat and saying he has an agenda, then they have not been reading this board very long. Alpha has been here since the old KY Ink days, and has been pro Joker, pro UK football in almost every way.
He is just stating his opinoin on this one subject, which differ from others on here. Nothing else.
