Pat Washington(ECU) new Wr Coach?

Seems like we're mostly getting 3 star guys anyway even with Tee. If we can still get those same caliber players at WR but coach them up better which this guy should be able to do then we get better in the end.

Could be big, given the struggles UK had in the return game last year. Plus, I think they're going to have some really nice additions to the return squad.

Mossy, we all can agree on some things. Personally, I am glad that the new coach is not a friend of Jokers or someone he played with at UK. IMHO, you need fresh heads that think outside the box at UK. Just my opinion.

I know, it's kind of crazy. For some reason, I went to KSR (had a pretty funny pic on there actually) and was reading the posts related to this hire and they were all in agreement, but nothing was positive about it. But those guys mostly follow just basketball so what in world do they know.
Initially, this looks like a good hire. Let's see what he can do first.

It is getting harder and harder to find a weak link on our staff in terms of recruiting. Again, as I said, UK does more of a platoon recruiting now. There is a lead recruiter and then a few other guys will pop in as well.

Well said, JDrum. We've got a 53 year old coach on campus who has enough juice to light all the lights in Lexington.

Dawg, that is my thinking too. I would hope folks would see that ALL of these guys on staff now are go getters and I would hope that some would give Summers a little break with all the injuries that the Oline had early in preseason last year. If they keep upgrading our recruiting, even with all the Joker won't be here stories by fans and opponent coaches, I think this can build into something really special.

I don't know who said it, but I saw a recent quote by a college head coach who said, "Show me a coach that is a good golfer, and I'll show you a coach that is not a good recruiter." I hope all our coaches suck at golfing...
