Patrick and DeMarcus together again (Also, Lamb to Magic)

  • sorry to interrupt the onslaught of football recruiting news. now please seriously keep it coming

hopefully this trade will give DeMarcus an ally, somebody he can trust, but also somebody who can help keep his head on straight and help him mature.

also by dealing Patrick to the Kings and Marcus Morris to Phoenix the Rockets are still just a net -1 on PF, hopefully that spot can be filled by Terrance permanently.

Reports -- Thomas Robinson, 2012 No. 5 overall pick, dealt by Sacramento Kings to Houston Rockets - ESPN

After selecting Thomas Robinson with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2012 draft, the Sacramento Kings already have him on the move, according to reports.

  • So that gives the Kings 3 former Cats correct? Isn't Chuck Hayes still with them also?

  • PP probably takes Chuck Hayes minutes, but I have to confess I haven't watched the Kings this year to know what the rotations look like.

BTW, how the heck is CH 1) in the NBA 2) STILL in the NBA.

I mean we all know he had heart and guts, but what that kid (man) has done in the league is unbelievable and cannot be overstated.

  • Patterson will could start at PF for the Kings alongside Cousins at Center. He could also be used as a backup at both the 4 and 5. It will be interesting to see how this plays out for the Kings.

As for Terrence Jones at Houston, I think this opens a slot for him to stay out of the D League and gets him a good bit of PT.

  • Oh, and how is Hayes still in the NBA? He is a poor man's version of Charles Barkley in that he has the heart of a lion and is ferocious. He will never be the scorer that CB was but they are similar in size and defenders.

I can’t agree with you on this comparison.

Charles Barkley and Chuck Hayes are similar in stature and body type, but that is about it.

Charles Barkley was a great scorer and needed the ball in his hands. Chuck Hayes is not a scorer and is content getting very few touches. Charles Barkley had great “ups” and, because of that, was a tremendous off the ball shot blocker and rebounder. Chuck Hayes plays close to the floor, can’t jump, and gets many rebounds as the result of a strong check out and little or no elevation.

I agree, both play/played with great heart and determination, but the comparisons in their actual games are few.

I would not know who to compare either of them to, since they are/were both very unique players.

  • Chuck hayes also has the widest lower base. Height wise, he is limited but that boy is strong.

Also, NBA does like normal sane person and not all crazy dudes. LOL

Except the Rockets have T. Jones on the block for a first rounder. That may change with the latest trade. Who knows.

Borrow money from a pessimist -- they don't expect it back.

DeMarcus isnt misunderstood or disrespected he is just a jackass, an immature punk. Patrick Patterson (class individual) is prolly rolling his eyes thinking 'I thought I got away from him'

  • I'd give you a -100 for this comment if I could. While what you say may be true in some respects its completely disrespectful. You sir are the jackass. I'm sure you are just a poster child of perfection in all aspects of life. May we all bow down to StoneWall.

Also Chuck Hayes guards the opposing 7' tall centers.

If some of this year's team had 1/10th of Chuck's 'heart and guts' ... we might be undefeated right now.

I didn't say offensively... Obviously the offensive comparison is not plausible on any level. Chuck's offense is horrendous. I was refering to stature, desire, rebounding, and defense only.

Wow...I usually avoid replying to ignorant posts but I just couldnt let this one go...anyone who has ever met Boogie knows better. Just a an ignorant clueless statement. Does Cousins have some issues? Yep...but this was as far off base as it gets. The guy has had a terrible past and has serious trust issues. When this kid feels safe in an enviroment or trusts those around him you cannot ask for a better person. Put this guy with someone like coach Pop or Doc Rivers and he would be not only a completely different personality but a dominant player.

You know I am not doubting the guys ability at all has tons of it, but I gues we should be like the Yule of Eler's and turn a blind eye (Petino an Hurtt) just because he is a former Wildcat give him a pass for his boorish behavior, how it is offbase gets me, terrible past or not his actions are not right.

Are you really comparing what Cuz has done to Petrino and Hurt? LOL. Now thats funny. Do I even have to go there. -1 again and I wish I could give you more.

  • DeMarcus has some maturity issues, no question. And he's his own worst enemy at times. But he's not a mean-spirited kid. And he's not been in and out of police stations and courtrooms like a growing number of today's professional athletes. He could certainly stand to grow up, but he's also only 22 years old. He's got time.
