    From @RowlandRIVALS:

"@RowlandRIVALS: Seems like there's more smoke out there indicating Petrino to UK may be realistic after all. Some now saying it's likely"

If this were FB I would like and share this comment.

    Thats fine.

So you think UK is looking at WKY's HC?

Learned this morning that the coaching search isn't as far along as some people may like to think it is. Also, that while BP is not a favorite choice, he isnt not being considered like one such coach down in Bowling Green.

I would really be upset if I thought that Taggert was thathigh up the list at this point in the process. I see him as nothing more than an second or third tier target. Not somebody you would start leaning to a week into the process. He could be an upgrade over Joker, but not significantly so, IMO. Petrino aside, I think UK can do better than WT.

  • I don't think anyone has ever considered Taggert a serious candidate despite him being mentioned from time to time by national media and blogs.

Actually, I don't think he was.

He states that Petrino "isn't not being considered". I read it as he is stating that BP is being considered. The adding of "like one such coach down in Bowling Green." refers to "not being considered" rather than "isn't not being considered" as I read it. I don't see it as reading they are both being considered.

    that is correct

Taggert is not and has not been considered. I don't think it's ground-shaking news, but it is just what I know.

I have heard he would be considered big time for the UofL job if Strong bolts though...

  • I personally think Taggert should be real high on the list. He has proved he can turn a program around. Also has a good eye on recruiting.

  • Another story of note concerning Petrino to UK. Seems national media has been quiet over the weekend with regards to Petrino to UK, but local and regional media (Larry Vaught, CJ) have kept scenarios alive.

James Quick comments highlight another immediate advantage to BP. Recruits know his offenses are exciting. Regardless if we get Quick or not, other great recruits will immediately view UK as a viable option to play in an innovative offense that will get plenty of media coverage and put up big numbers.

I think recruits are way more forgiving of BP's mistakes than us older folks are.
