I'll lay it out one last time, so I can clear up the confusion. I don't know who jd Greer is, and yesterday I had no idea that this thread even existed. I received info that Bp is the new head coach at uk, and that the deal is almost done. This was yestrday afternoon, not two weeks ago, not earlier this week, yesterday! I believe the booster, as he is a generous one, having a bball center named after him and all lol. I then popped on this site to see if it had already broke, bc when I get info from people near administration, half the time it's already on here. That's when I saw this thread. Despite the source, I did not believe it, I was shocked, and simply keep saying I'll believe it when I see it! Even though I know it's done, lol. I'm just a skeptic! When I saw this thread, it felt like it was even more of a done deal. I had just heard it from a booster, and then someone I do not know on this board had heard it from another booster as well. I don't consider myself a big advocate of Bp, I frankly was not all that excited, he's got a lot to prove IMO, the media will pepper him right away about his history, whether he's changed, etc. But, in my mind, he's our coach based on what I was told, that's all. I have no idea who mods on this board access for info like this, and I havent read much of what they have said in months since I'm not VIP ( I know it's free trial lol, u guys are great, I still love the site), so I'm not challenging any opinions or info, but that's what I got, Go Cats!!

I just spoke to one of Joe's closest friends in the legislature. He says joe denies that petrino will be the coach and also denies that he has told anybody that Petrino will be the cosch. Tfwiw

I'm not saying anything more about the matter. Especially if people are taking things as far as calling or contacting people about hearsay... Sorry I even said anything, I'll know better for next time. I'm retiring from this topic until something is official. Like the last poster said, hopefully it will be over ASAP so we can discuss the future of uk football more accurately and in unison

I guess that's true, I've seen it on both sides. Oh well, it's not ever going to be perfect, just disrupts legit convos sometimes. I would love if they make the announcement in the next week to get it out of the way...

JMO, but if an announcement isn't made by next week, I think it's a very clear sign that Mitch has been told "no" by most of his top candidates.. Mitch has had 3 weeks to put his list together and prioritize who is worth of an offer. Next week is when you would expect the coaching movements to really start popping. If a coach is going to leave a school for UK, next week is when you would expect it considering UK has probably been negotiating with the candidate for at least 2 weeks and their regular season is now complete. JMO of course.
