  • Guys..FORGET PHIL STEELE. No way UK is in the bottom tier nationally in offense for 2012.
    Here are my reasons.
Max Smith is a bonafied SEC QB in the making..hes got a strong arm, and is accurate. IF that fails..we got Morgan Newton..who has the skill..just not the toughness imho...but i may be wrong..he had no timing last year and our wideouts were horrendous. And if neccessary..Pat Towles looks like a future star at QB.
Then theres the running backs..Clemons, Williams, George, Sanders..and now Mobley and Taylor if needed. WE are deep at TB.
The biggest reason? Our recievers will be so so so much better this year. King will do well..and then theres Robinson, Collins, and Cunningham. After that..theres the incoming frosh... AJ LeGree is a special talent. Kids leaping ability is world class..and hes tough..will lay out or take a hit. He has good enough speed and burst to make moves in the open. And then DeMarcus Sweat..has all the physical tools...Bookie Cobbins and Jalen Whitlow will help out too.
At TE..Ronnie Shields brings mismatch speed and size we've lacked since Tamme. He will be the man there..with support from Kendrick, Aumiller, and Robinson.
The O-Line..we get back Warford and Smith...Darrian Miller has some PT under his belt...we have depth across the board here now..

I dont make a living predicting...but I guarantee you we will be in the top half of the SEC offensively. 6th..mabye 7th...at worst.

you are so wrong. In 06 he said UK would win 5 games at most and Brooks would be going back to Oregon with his wife behind him. He also had Auburn winning 6 games when they won it all.

And actually no, I'm looking at the 2010 magazine (preseason before Auburn won it all). He says "Auburn will eclipse last year's total of 8 wins", picked them for the Capital One Bowl and had them at #5 on his list of "Surprise Teams".

Don't get me wrong, he misses some too. But at least be right if you want to try to cut on the guy.

You sure are counting on a lot inexperienced guys to win games in the best conference in the land. It hard to cut your teeth in the SEC being so young.
