Need to catch lightening in a bottle early in the season with wins and obvious major improvement, then convince those kids to be the core of a SuperKY class. That would be the only way to swing the needle on Trinity to me. Really, the first two or three games are critical to this class IMO.

The Trinty kids will be extremely difficult for the staff to garner commits from. Quick is definitely not coming to UK and I'd be surprised if he even shows for one of the JR Days. Hatcher and White are more likely to listen to Joker and Co., IMO, but are long shots. Everyone else in the state are strong possibilities for the 'Cats.

I agree. Joker and the staff need to make a big sell to the big in-state talent to come be a part of something big at UK football like Franklin did at Vandy this past year. Tee would be HUGE for that, but we obviously need him recruiting the deep south. Maybe Joker can put him on the top 6-8 guys in KY as well and make it his mission to get as many of them as possible (but not at the expense of as good, if not better, recruits in Tee's usual areas). If I'm Joker, I put on a state-wide campaign in the media and with high schools about building something big at UK with the best in-state players. Take a page out of Cal's playback and talk to them through the media without explicitly mentioning who you are talking to.

Everyone talks about wanting to get better at recruiting Ohio, I agree we do but I also think Virginia is a state we need to get into. VA probably has as much talent per person as almost any other state especially in areas. In north eastern VA there are tons of urban areas filled with great talent. Those areas are sorda like New Jersey, parts of Miss, Atlanta GA and South Florida. There is good HS football everywhere in eastern Va. We really do need to start pitching the SEC in some of those schools especially since they aren't that far away when compared to some regions we are trying to get better in. I hate to mention Vandy but Vandy recruits those areas hard. The Cavs haven't been that good in forever except for this past year and it seems like they always bring in a top 25 haul filled with instate kids.

I disagree. It is a LONG way from those "urban areas" to Lexington. The prospect is geographically closer to all of the NC, SC, VA, and marylandy schools.
With Georgia and Ohio and Tennessee, the prospect is only driving past 1 or 2 division one schools to get to UK.
I've been to Va beach 5 or 6 times, it's only about a 7 hour trip for me in Eastern Ky, probably 8 from Lex. We are also a SEC school, chance to play early etc... It's closer than Florida is to Lex... It's just a opinion, there are tons of good ball players around there too, alot of SEC schools have recruited those areas hard in the past.
For us to recruit like we need to that distance shouldn't be a issue. The bottom line is we have to get out in some new places, besides it's really not that far away and oh yea they recruit Lex... Chase Minifield has started for VA for 3 years now. Would you want them recruiting here but us not recruiting there? But you have the right to not like any idea, i'm Just sayin.
