The difference in the way our average, run of the mill player looks compared to a few years ago is striking. You always hear the 'bigger, stronger, faster' mantra, but UK passes the 'look test' nowdays much better than before.

agreed, when I was looking through that gallery, I thought about how everyone of these kids at least look the part now. . . rather or not it will start translating to more wins is still in question, but we look a lot better getting off the bus nowadays, lol. . .

Agreed. He looks like the classic "shave a mohawk in your hair and go hit people as hard as you can" type of Fullback. Warren is pretty damn big as well, but he doesn't look to be in nearly as good of shape as Jones at this point. It will be interesting to see who wins this spot.

We used to joke about how every UK coach would say that on signing day, yet the players never looked any different. NOW they certainly look different.

Great photos. Thanks guys! Man, I thought Coleman was listed at 268. He looks closer to 290 to me. Isn't he 6'4" or so? Maybe pushing 300 at that height.

Coleman does look heaver than 268 in those pictures (that's assuming his listed height is accurate?). Jeff, would you expect Coleman to settle at DT long term (as opposed to DE)?

No question, in my opinion, that he goes to DT or jumbo DE in the 3-4. He already looks too big for a traditional 4-3 DE.

I agree, MJ. This kid is built to hold 300 lbs with ease. Hopefully, he's explosive enough to be effective in the SEC.
ON another note, I'm pumped about watching Rumph, Cobble, Crawford, and Wells go wild in the Florida and SEC Backfields this year.
