I actually think a 6-6 or 7-5 season and another trip to the Music City Bowl would be considered a HUGE success next season and would help on the recruiting trail, especially if Vandy tanks (killing Franklin's momentum) and Ole Miss doesn't improve much. If we can beat UL and the other 3 cupcakes, Vandy and 2 other SEC schools, it would be a monumental achievement by Joker in most people's eyes. He doesn't need a 8-4 or 9-3 season to keep his job or to be considered as having done a great job next year.

Lot of open spots right now. I don't think Joker will struggle to find a qualified coach but I don't think joker has a lot of leverage or is high in the pecking order right now either.

As far as momentum on the recruiting trail, I do percieve that the newer recruits we are trying to get in on are more skeptic of Joker's job security in the future.
The exisiting commits we have are for the most part VERY loyal to Joker (blaylocks, towels, etc).

What will hurt will be the opening to next years season, if UK puts a poor showing against Louisville the waters are going to begin to boil around joker. Then if they play poorly to WKU or (dear god) loose to WKU then Joker could be pulled early next year.

That was his pay as defensive coordinator. So you are right. The new coach will not make anywhere near that.

Your right. No reason to buy into that. The job has been posted twice as long as policy requires, we are coming down to the wire in recruiting, and still no DB coach. No reason to think Joker is getting turned down in his coach recruiting just like player recruiting is there. Head in the sand....

Is it still posted? The opening said that it would close on the 13th.

I thought it was far more likely that we were allowing a coach to finish his bowl game before being announced than something such as the above post states.

You don't like negativity? The real negativity comes out of the CWS offices on a near-daily basis. I don't like that and I don't like those that think all the program needs is a band aid on the boo-boo and questioning my fandomand telling me how tothink and post. You all say your sick to death of negative posts? Maybe there are some out there who are just as sickened that there has been nothing dones to address this years problems. Wanna play holier-than thou? Great, but other opinions are just as valid.

Again, I called Joker nothing. I contrasted his lack of reults to Cal's success using Cal's slogan for this year. It's fair and telling. Valid IMO. You wanna play cop for the "everything's just peachy crowd", that's fine. I PM'ed you (thinking the P stood for "Private"), asking you for a link or phone number to cancel my subscription. You basically told me I don't handle that, contact Chris or JDrum. Not much explanation. I PM'd you for the information because you were the Mod I figur were on duty because you were the last I saw post. I PM'd Chris as soon as I saw your response, but still haven't heard back. I'm guessing I contact JDrum or Chris and they have to cancel for me.

Forgive me, because I'm still fuzzy on this. haven't received much of an answer.

And, since you decided to take Private to Public then, I am a subscriber on three Wildcat premium boards. Times are not what they used to be and I decided recently that I needed to cut some corners. I was just having a hard time eciding which to drop. I like all three boards and love having as much Wildcat info as possible.

I have been a Member of the Cats Pause board even before it was a Cats Pause Board (the old 90s Rainman days). I followed here mainly becauseo JDruum (have really injoyed Chris and Mr. may too though). Today made it easier though.

There's been a lot of talk about all "the negativity" around here. Well, there's is not a lot of positive around the UK football program (my opinion). When someone around here expresses their legitimate anger and frustraion they are jumped on by the "koom-ba-yah krowd" and backed by certain mods with a hair trigger (with little mention of the attack by those that are "fed up by the negativity").

I tried to keep the subject of my PM private by PMing (as usually requested), but since that was brought here, I decided .to state my reasoning. I have every reason to believe it will be gone in much less time than it took to type) despite the fact that it was you who made the subject public.. Gotta be positive!

The Cats Pause will be missed, even if I won't. JDrum or Chris, would you please email or PM me with a way to cancel my subscription at your earliest convenience if you see this once it's moved to the Moderator's Forum? Or if it is within you power, you can just go ahead and cancel.
