The Stoudemire comparison is bizarre IMO. I've never seen Poythress play when he reminded me of him.

I can see it strictly from a versatility standpoint and his ability to shoot with range, but still a little over the top IMO.

Should I read the quote about Vandy as being a really strong hint? Its hard not to feel that way.

Right. And isn't Stoudemire about 6-10? Plus, extremely bouncy. Poythress has never struck me as being overly athletic. He's a nice athlete, but it's not something that separates him from other guys.

Right. Stoudemire, even after knee surgery, on a whole 'nother level athletically.

I don't get at all how that means Vandy at all....All he had to say was Vandy has worked harder than anyone else. I bet if you asked him if it would surprise him if he choose UK he would say the same thing that he did about Vandy. I don't think you can read into these comments.

I didn't get that Vandy was the choice from that. . . I read that quote and felt exactly the opposite. . . He said he "wouldn't be surprised", which to me makes it sound like Vandy is not the leader right now, but Alex does really like them, so it wouldn't be a huge upset . . . JMO

Talked to two national type scouts today, and both of them thought it was UK over Vandy.

Except in rare cases, Vandy usally the bridesmaid. Never the bride.

PS - some have speculated since his Memphis visit they have gained momentum and actually could lead??? Do any of you feel that way, or does it come down to UK beating out Vandy.

It doesn't sound to me like it favored anyone. All these kids would be silly to go anywhere but UK right now. A different decision just doesn't make sense.
