Nasty, nasty looking hit today in a game for Kidd-Gilchrist. He's one of my all time favorite UK players, but regardless of that, hate to see this kind of thing happen to anyone. I haven't heard if he's okay or not, but he was motionless for a long time until they carted him off. Prayers out from Big Blue Nation to MKG.

Charlotte Bobcats rookie Michael Kidd-Gilchrist was fitted with a neck brace and taken off the floor on a stretcher in Houston after teammate Jeff Taylor collided with him going for a rebound.
espn.go.comThere is a video.
Scary. I hate jeffery taylor even more. WTF was he doing...
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist suffers head injury vs. Houston, taken off on stretcher
www.cbssports.comJeff is a really good guy. He tends to take things really personally. He probably feels really bad.
All prayers to MKG. Thankfully this is basketball. In football this could very easily affect his future career, but he likely will be able to make a full recovery. Love you MKG.

I saw the video. I don't like Taylor either, but he didn't do anything to injury his teammate on purpose. We can all just be glad MKG is likely to be just fine. I'm sure Taylor feels like shit.
never said purpose.
however, his attempt "block" was about 2 seconds too late. He literally went up to just slap the back board.
The Houston player had the ball already at the backboard when he initiated the jump. This is when he needs to block out and make sure to get a rebound. It's the same thing us UK players are complaining about some of our players. Instead of blocking out and assuring a good defensive rebound, we jump around and lose good possession.
