I think Mitch would view Petrino's controversies as "possible red flags" and chooses to pass him by.

This would be a stark contrast to the "family atmoshpere" the Joker fostered. What we can't have happen is such a culture change happen where good players are ran off. Then having to recruit to replace them and Petrino pull a Petrino and leave after one season.

That would set us back past probation.

After 47 years as a fan and a LOT of losing seasons ...
If Petrino is hired, I am done with the program!!!!

Mitch is selling us short if he doesn't at least talk to Petrino. Petrino is tailor made for us.

if he was your son you would want him to be forgiven and given a chance. I think he would move forward and be a good hire. someone is going to do it why can't it be us? Are we so perfect?

Mitch hired Dennis Erickson at Oregon St. He had plenty of "issues" prior.

Petrino does not have any leverage. A contract can have clauses to protect the University. Im not so sure the other candidates will be willing to even come to UK. They no how tuff it will be to build a team. Bobby Petrino has been humbled big time with loss of major income. I tend to think he will not screw it up. he doesn't have anymore srikes to take. I know this is a risk but we pobably need to take some risk.
