Question - has Morgan not been running third string for awhile?

Just curious. . . everything I have read is that there were trying to put him on the field in other ways, maybe even as a half back.
Was there no game plan in place for Morgan as QB?

Which is what I don't understand. How can you start a guy who is not even really running 2nd at QB. I don't buy the you can't start a Frosh QB in the swamp garbage. How in the world did they think Newton gave us a better chance to win than whitlow. So what if we had a smaller package of offensive plays to call and there was lots of Wildcat in it.
