Randle's in-home visit with UK

Really good stuff here from Jason Jordan at USAToday, who goes in-depth on Julius Randle's in-home visit with UK and others:
“Cal is just, well, Cal,” Kyles says of Kentucky coach John Calipari, who showed up at 7:45 that evening. “He’s just got swag. I mean he had a driver. There wasn't any presentation - it was just Cal talking off the cuff and chilling out with us.”
Randle nods and smiles.
“Most coaches sell their school,” he says. “Coach Cal carries himself like what he’s done sells itself.”

Cal looks like a kid compared to the other three. Sheesh. Now I just wish he would take on some advertising for the football program, lol.

Would love to have a football coach who was able to use the success of the basketball as an advantage for football recruiting. I mean, I don't know what would be a violation and what wouldn't, but what kid wouldn't love to meet LeBron James, Jay-Z, and Drake among others? And how many places would give you an opportunity like that?

From the article:
Calipari went on to say that he was excited about Randle and Carolyn coming up for an official visit (Sept. 14-16).
Randle stares at his phone and smiles.
“I can’t wait either,” he said. “I can’t wait.”

This is what I liked. He's going to be the piece that determines if we are going undefeated or just win the title that season.
