  • I normally wouldn't post about rankings from TOS, but with the new composite rankings, this becomes relevant for our site. Rashard Fant moved from unranked to the #17 athlete on TOS. Big jump as noted by their staff. Any updates with him? TIA.

    There's just something odd with his recruitment. I don't know if it's grades, or just worries about his size. But seems like all his early "big time" offers have backed off. Hell, WKU seems as likely a place as any that he's going to end up at. Just odd really.

    Some coaches questioned has size and Rashard also whats to see how UK does this season. Does'nt want to go though a coach change his first year...But UK still one of his top teams. Hope this answers your questions....LETS GO WILDCATS.* Mr.FANT*

    Well, he won't have any problems getting admission. Heck, he could be an academic scholarship if they allowed such things.

    You are right. He is also being recruited hard by PENN,YALE,AND HARVARD...We loved UK and everyone in the community treated us great! We have to remember its a business and UK and FANT have to make the right choice...If its Gods will Rashard will be a Wildcat..The Coaches were great and the campus was nice I could see him there would be a good fit if all works out. We feel like its a blessing just to be in the recruiting process!

    I wish your son the very best for his Senior season and in his decision-making process. From all accounts Rashard is an outstanding young man and would be a fine addition to any university or football program.

  • Sounds like whichever school Rashard chooses in the end, that school will be getting not only a very talented football player, but also a great student and kid. Selfishly, I'd love to see him play for UK; not worried about size here, the kid is electric with the ball in his hands.

    Huh? I'm giving props to a family that "gets it" and is handling the recruiting situation in an mature and responsible manner. Its so refreshing to see families think through the process instead of allowing their kid to commit and then decommit to 8 different schools by the time signing day approaches. This kid has a 3.8 gpa. It's obvious he has a bright future on and off the field. Why? He obviously has incredible parents.

    blah The dude obviously has a history. I mean he hasn't ran off tons of good posters or anything, right? But hey if you guys don't care then neither do I. Its not like he was just negative either. Thats a bunch of crap. He was clearly disrespectful at times of the coach, the players and the program.
