    Ha ha....just screwing around, you're right....my bad.

I like who we have already. Quick will be great to have. Parker already thinks end zone. He'll have some good teachers and practice examples. It looks like Charlie is on a limited roll of schollies...........so he's maxxing out right now. I like he feels the pressure. I think he loves it, too. He's radiating some nice emotions these days. Plus, he is not complicated.

Bridgewater - just like Randall Cobb - is the kind of athlete who can put you over.

With Clint Hurt and a local media that will not report any kind of wrong doing by an athletic department that intimidates any media outlet, anything is possible. After all, ole Clint brought Teddy from Miami with him and they both avoided any kind of NCAA skirmish. Amazing what can happen when you can do anything to bring in talent.

As much as I wouldn't like Hatcher to end up at ul, our two schools have got to stop the raiding that schools like OHS, USC, and ND does to our state. When it happens it only opens the doors for other schools like ILL, CIN, and WVA to come and think that they can get them too. We have to start keeping our own kids instate or no one will ever be a consistant winner.

    Calling Calipari

Calling Calipari for what? The guy gets an article written about him everyday from people within his own city. We both know its not the same situation. All we're asking for is some digging into the Hurtt situation just to see if he stinks. I really don't know one way or the other but how am I supposed to come up with a definitive conclusion when the local media is not doing their jobs. He was clearly connected to Shapiro. And their is clearly a money trail. How does he get away without having to answer some questions in a public forum. Just doesn't make sense.

To do that the solitary way to go about that is to be good. Secondly, it is to have a program developer, and one who can inspire enthusiasm.

See, I don't buy that UK has built-in disadvantages. Not a bit. UK could win the SEC in 3-4 years behind the right guy. They could emulate Louisville's growth easily.

There are no secrets to the sport - hire a great coach (lol, easy to say) - pay him well and stay the hell out of his way. Give him money for excellent staff, provide excellent facilities, stress humility, grades, class attendance and real work.

That's been UofL's formula and I suspect we breached a barrier in the Sugar Bowl, into a more golden existence. I think that's also what happens with all teams who work to improve with single minded devotion to their cause - they suddenly have these epiphanies which remind them they can beat anyone. It's like hitting your first Little league or High School home run. After you break that, hell, you;re launching them regularly in practice.

Quick was a legacy so UofL had an "in" with the family. But you have to know he wanted some of what he saw on the field. The fact is, playing tough in this sport is already winning. UK has had too much turnover in staff and some reticence about improving into a Factor. There can't be confusion at the coaching level - once that is fully cured, we'll nail down the state's best players between us.
