Well, they better do it this year, because Boise St. joins in '13. They're usually a little over-hyped, but they're still a class above anything else that will be in that conference. On that topic, that conference is going to be a joke. It's a glorified version of C-USA.

And then Charlie Strong will pull a Petrino and find a better gig.

Get use to it people the big least is horrid. UK and or Vandy would have a great chance at a BCS game every yr.

Because of two things...
1.) The Card fanbase are complete *expletive* morons
2.) US....big brother.

See, the idiot UofHell fanbase CANNOT STAND the fact that us, big brother, is in an elite football conference. They view it as chest beating. They believe THAT is the ONLY thing we have on them as a program (even tho they completely ignore the fact they do the same damn thing in basketball) and they hate so bad they fail to realize the fact we are a middle to bottom tier program because of the level of talent we play every Saturday. They would rather say "hey we are in a legit conference too" and lose consistently to Texas, Oklahoma, OK St. , and others rather than remain in a garbage conference, have a shot at a BCS game every year by winning 6-8 games....because they are total *expletive* Jack holes.

I *expletive* HATE Louisville Indiana. (those who know me know I refuse to acknowledge Louisville as a part of our state) I hate everything about them. I hate their team. I hate their fans. I hate hate HATE all that is UofHell. I hate them so bad ill shoot Cardinals in my yard with a BB gun. I refuse to wear the color red under any circumstance. I've even wished incurable STDs on their grandmothers.

Maybe one day I wont sugarcoat it as much and let you guys know how I really feel.

Heres one of many reasons the Big East is just not worthy of football conversation...at least for this coming season

In theory with only seven teams you could go winless in the Big East and STILL potentially qualify for a bowl game with 6 cupcake wins.

After this coming season the reasons for irrelevance changes only slightly as it continues its gradual morphing into Conference USA Part Deux.

UL message board fans have proclaimed themselves a pre-season top 25 team, the prohibitive favorite to win the big east, and are probably posing for pictures with orange slices in their mouths as we speak.

In reality, UL was 7 points better than UK last year at a time when UK struggled mightily to hold off powerhouses WKU and CMU. They finished 7-6 with home losses to Marshall and FIU, a loss to Pitt after injuries took out Pitt's entire offensive backfield, and a physical beatdown (although the score was close) against a middle of the road ACC team in NC State.

I give them credit for the win in Commonwealth and the win in Morgantown, both of which I argue happened due to overconfidence (UK had Florida the next week, WVU had Cincy for the conference championship) and looking forward, but were wins over programs that should have beaten them.

The big difference is that Strong is a new hire who wasn't around the program when they weren't doing so well. He's brought in a few good recruits from Florida and gotten them their first win over UK in 5 tries. He's won 7 games a season (an improvement of 1, 2, and 3 games per season over the previous coach) and has had them in two bowls. Thus, he is the savior of that program.

The game in Louisville next season should be a pretty good one. I look forward to seeing the defense that held Georgia to 19 and UT to 7 playing against an offensive line that allowed Bridgewater to get absolutely murdered in the bowl game. Hopefully our WRs perform and we find some OL and QB play to get the offense moving better. If we do those things, and get some pressure up front, we win this game.

They are gonna be crowing this entire offseason, without question. They've got bragging rights over us, had 3 good recruiting classesin a row, and overall positive momentum for their program. UL has been included at the very end of a couple of preseason top 25 rankings for 2012. Given they dont have to play West Virginia or TCU anymore, and not yet Boise St they ought to be favored to go 10-2 at least. Think that is an outrageous predicion, get a gander at their murderers row of a schedule:

And finally a likely 12th game and 7th conference game, a titanic tilt against the newest Big East member...Temple! Really, what games are they gonna be huge dogs with that schedule? North Carolina I suppose is their most difficult game of 2012, and they have them at home with the Tar Heels breaking in a new coaching staff/systems. Looks like the NCAA is never gonna do anything to their recruiting coordinator who was obviously hip deep in the cheating at Miami.

That first game for UK is beyond huge, it is gigantic to beat those guys. We will be a clear underdog, probably pretty big. I don't like the matchups for UK at several positions, but one tiny glimmer of hope I have for the Wildcats to pull off an upset is that thus far Strong isnt very good at game prep after long layoffs. His UL teams did not start the season playing very well at all in both 2010 and 2011. And also did not look good in either of the bowl games his first 2 years down there. So I don't think we will see a UL team hitting on all cylinders on Sept 1st. The onus will be on Joker to beat into his teams heads the entire offseason how we've gotta beat those guys. It ought to burn in Joker's heart that his "good friend" openly bragging after last seasons game that he would NEVER again beat Strong.

The bromance potential is there my friend. We both love KY football and hate the cards. Match made in big blue heaven.
