Goodwin: great athlete, but not a good basketball player, YET
Poythress: Soft, athletic, but needs two to three years of college...
Noel: All D, no offense at all
Stein: Improving, but still raw offensively; no real consistent move around basket
Harrow: slight build, weak, also not strong willed, below average shooter
Wiltjer: slow, limited game, good set shooter, but needs 3 seconds to shoot..can't do that when you have no players for other defenses to worry about..no doubles to open up Wiltjer
Polson: Should be at Eastern
Mays: Decent D1 player; limited game
All in all, too many missing pieces and lack of leader...this is what you get.
I sure hope most of those are one and done, or just done. You are right I love Coach C but he does need to focus on personality as much as physical skills. i have watched or listened to Uk for 50 years and this group just has no heart or drive other than to get to the NBA. Love to see coach recruit more hard working 3 and 4's to go with a few 5's.
One of the biggest reasons this team wasn't very good is because they just couldn't shoot consistently. We had 1 game that we didn't score 50 pts. and 8 games where we scored in the 50's or low 60's. I believe they were all losses except for a couple. You're not going to win many games with those kinds of numbers. But, it all starts with a good point guard, which we didn't have.

What a totally B.S. thread...... Goodness, it's truly amazing how many Head Coaches reside in the Bluegrass......that have never held any similar position. Thank God we have Coach Cal! We suffered through your "couple of hard working 3-4's to go with a few 5's." Utter lunacy!
Don't read it if you don't like it, genius. Ignore posts you don't like. These are only OPINIONS.
