    Great point! I'd rather him not come anyway. As I said on here the other day and someone else pointed out in this thread, we have the 62nd rated recruiting class in the country. The next worse SEC school is like 39. I'm tired of hearing that we have all this "good young talent"! The talent level here sucks and is getting worse. We had the worst recruiting class in the SEC last year by over 20 spots again. Someone please tell me how our young players, who aren't as good as every other team in the SEC's young players, are going to be better than the other 13 teams when they become juniors? Are you really going to say that our coaching will be the reason? That would be a pretty funny response.

    As far as I'm concerned, this kid can go fly a kite somewhere and take about 10 others with him. We aren't winning anything with this kind of talent level every year, especially when combined with the current coaches. Maybe some new coaches could get more out of them.

    On a side note, our special teams coach should have been escorted off the sideline for that performance today. That may have been the worst display by a special teams unit for an entire game that I have ever witnessed. While we are at it, I'll thank God too, that I was able to watch the game from a suite inside CWS with my family and a Makers!

    FOLKS UK WILL ALWAYS HAVE A PROBLEM RECRUITING WHY!!!! WELL WE HAVE VERY LITTLE IN STATE TALENT PERIOD. TRYING TO GET 4 AND 5 STAR PLAYERS FROM THE SOUTH WILL ALWAYS BE TUFF. WHO WANTS TO LEAVE THERE FAMILIES COME NORTH AND NOT PLAY FOR SAY BAMA LSU FLA GA AND ON. SORRY PEOPLE BUT THIS WILL NEAVER BE A STRONG PROGRAM EVER

  • Look I love this program, I will till I die and so will my kids. But you have to be truthfull to yourself and stop the scoptoma. Wanting something so bad and thinking it can happen will not happen.

    Untill this state some hows gets better talent every yr, UK stands very little chance

  • Kevin is right. So is the nobody twitter poster exclaiming UK football is sucking right now. The next tweet from him should be WE LANDED ON THE MOON in all caps.

    And not to defend the OP I think I can explain why the negative stuff. When you see people praising 2 and 3 star recruits like they're Bo Jackson it's frustrating to those of us in reality that have been underwhelmed by the recruiting of Joker for the past couple years. When you see virtually everyone predicting 6-8 wins for a team you know will be lucky to win 3 and would lose to some high school teams you get frustrated. When you say the recruits aren't as great as you say or you say this team won't sniff a bowl game this year and you get your butt handed to you for those realistic opinions it builds up some animosity towards those sunshiny people. Hence a bit of piling on. When you poke a bear and the bear bites your face off who do you blame? The poker or the bear. If you're a conservative you blame Obama. I know.

  • I, for one, actually agree with Carl. A lot of people think I am just being negative about things. I'm not being negative, rather just realistic. I don't understand how people keep saying we have all this great young talent. Not because I am negative but because our recruiting classes suck and for whatever reason people keep trying to build them up. I keep hearing it cant be done here because we don't have a ton of in state talent and we have always sucked. I just don't agree with that. I completely agree with Schnellenberger that this place has EVERYTHING it needs to win with the right direction. We need a coach who will not just say they believe in the program, but act like it! Be passionate about it. I'm not saying Joker wasn't passionate, but you don't see it externally. He looks the same when was fired as he did when he was hired.

    And one more thing, I don't think Idaho is a recruiting hotbed. I dont think Kansas is a recruiting hotbed. I don't think Oregon is a recruiting hotbed. There are teams out there that are having major success that have been historically awful! You just have to find someone who eats, sleeps, and breaths Kentucky football and is passionate to the point they are arrogant about it.

    People get on me for being negative about the talent level here. You are being just as negative about believing we cant get a coach here that believes in this program.
