Timmons is a very special athlete. Ive had the pleasure of watching him play a few times, and always come away impressed. A little stat line on Timmons..over the last 2 seasons..he has amassed 2688 yards rushing with 46 rushing tds on 145 carries..along with 2104 yards rec. with 34tds on 71 grabs...kid has averaged 22.1 yards per touch on offense..scoring on 37% of his touches!! This dosent even take into account his return touches as a KR/PR. I was lucky enough to watch his game winning kick return vs Anderson Co down 5 points with 14 seconds to go..kid oozes athleticism and is a game changing weapon.
Now..factor in he was almost always double or triple teamed when playing wr..and spied upon heavily when at rb. Timmons is amazing. Personally..I always thought he was the best athlete in the state..over Quick. Timmons will fit Neal Browns offense perfectly..hes been running an almost identical one under Chris Tracy the last few years.
If Timmons in fact does come to UK..and all signs point that way..we will be in for a very special treat..imho! I'm calling this..Timmons will own every UK all purpose record there is and most of the SEC ones as well. In fact..with his skill set and familarity with Browns offense..Ryan Timmons could be Uk's best shot at a Hesiman finalist since Tim Couch.

+1 back at ya.and thank you. Ive had a mancrush on Timmons since his soph year. And im from Breathitt Co..so I am not biased. Barring injury..I think IF he comes..he will break every all-purpose record we have. Hes tough..owns elite speed..has great hands and vision. I think the fact his high school ran almost the exact same offense as Neal brown..only makes the process that much easier for him. He will be a matchup nightmare IMO..no way a linebacker stays in front of this kid.

S/O to the Pirates. You guys got us again this year. You know your football as well..btw..off topic..Im 6'4 325..was a OT/DT for BC back in the 90's..including our 1st ever state title team. My freshman year..1st varsity action..at DT..went up against a huge Belfry kid..like 6'6 330..(i was about 6'1 225 then) Blackshear? is that right? I ate dirt every play..LoL. Also remember DeShae Henson..Clay co Rb back then..gosh that kid was special..big, very fast..a bulldozer with legit 4.3 speed..had offers from tennessee, fla, ohio st..but tore his acl/mcl late in his sr year..(he was barry larkins cousin). And of course Tim Couch.
Belfry had some d1 talent on this years team..that #7 wr?? fast and big..about 6'2 210?? and Carr?? GUys on here used to down vote me for saying Richard trent was as good as Kyle Bolin...did you get a chance to see Trent play? BC's QB? Tebow-ish. Keep a close eye on him either at Miami Oh or Ball ST or Cent Mich!! Kids a gamer! 6'1 220 with legit 4.47 speed and tougher than a cast iron skillet.

i am an old lineman from back in the dark ages of the early 80's. I have been a UK fan all of my life and allow myself to always think we were going to have a really good football team each season until the ball was actually teed up. I used to keep up with Belfry very closely, so I am sure I have seen you play. You are either thinking of Irv Dotson or Richie Blackburn. Irv was about that size and went on to play center at Marshall during Marshall's glory days. He was the starting center for Chad Pennington. I don't remember UK showing any interest in him. Richie was a 6' 2'' solid rock, but I believe he had grade issues. I think he had lower level d-1 talent. Of course, David Jones is a Belfry grad. If he would have been able to redshirt I think he would have had a much better career at UK and would have had a chance at the pros. Unbelievably fast and had the kickoff return for a touchdown in the Liberty Bowl to start the second half. Brooks wouldn't even think of a redshirt for him, even during the season that David had his appendix burst right before the start of the season. I think eastern Ky has had several players that had the talent to play at UK based on the level of recruits signed by prior coaching staffs. It will be tough to have the talent to make the cut for the current coaching staff because of their proven ability to recruit "better" players. But I can't complain about that if we desire to be a factor in the SEC. Breathitt and Belfry always seem to have good teams. I don't know what will happen when Haywood retires, but it will likely allow Breathitt to get some revenge. Can't wait til signing day. GO CATS!!!

I would love to know what Timmons' 40 times is at this point in his career. On his videos, he looks like one of the shiftiest guys ever with the ability to cut back in the open field like something UK hasn't had since Cobb. His straightline break away speed seems less clear, though. He did win the award for best 40 time at an Ohio State camp last Summer, so he must be pretty damn fast. Also, Florida and OSU don't offer 5'10 kids unless they're burners.

I would assume Timmons is a 4.35 type..which is a blazer..I know he has ran several 10.7 100m dashes..which isnt bad at all..he was the fastest player in the state 2 years in a row..was 2nd this year and had a bum quad ..(a strain i think) so,..with some good str and speed coaching..He could be one of those rare 4.2 guys.
