Ryan Timmons has a new list...

  • He is no longer considering Illinois (who was considered to be the darkhorse), Arkansas, or Purdue. I know Joker has turned up the heat, so Florida's likely the SEC power, and I'd say WKU is the local school.

  • Don't believe there is a chance in this universe that Stoops holds a spot for him. With the loss of Reed and Caffey and the possible gain of Woulard and maybe Mackenro Alexander at safety, UK's WR number has gone from a projected five to four. You know they're only going to take two waterbug guys and Samples is better than Timmons, Grant is just as good or better and Badet is tight as a tick with Woulard, McClain and Kemp. If Timmons is still waiting by signing day, he won't be coming to UK.

    Folks, don't believe for a second that Stoops won't hold a spot for Timmons if he feels he still has a chance. Timmons is talented but his biggest upside for Stoops for now is, he is a Kentucky boy. Stoops knows that he needs to show other state schools that he can handle his own in the state of Kentucky. But because of short amount of time he could spend with these kids, if he doesn't get him you can bet he will set his sights on instate kids next year.

    UK will have hosted 6 guys they would probably take for the 3 spots open by the time Timmons makes up his mind. If Ryan Timmons has the same mindset that he's a Kentucky boy so he's special, he very well might be left on Feb 5 with only a grey shirt offer from UK.

  • Its definitely possible Timmons could get passed up. I would hate for it to come to that but we've got a ton of talented slot type WR's on our board that are just as talented as Timmons and are probably more polished as receivers. Timmons might have more upside with his speed than some but we can' sit here and wait til the end if other guys are ready to pull the trigger and risk losing good quality players.

  • if we get Mackenro then we are also getting his brother, im pretty sure they have said they are going to go to the same school, and stoops is said to have a good relationship with mackensie, so i say bring em both on in
