The coming days and weeks will be filled with speculation about new Kentucky coach Mark Stoops' staff, but Stoops yielded some insight into his plans on Sunday.

I think Summers should be on the staff, but one correction is Summers was a nominee (along with Mark Stoops) and not a finalist for the Broyles Award.

Stoops will be our defacto DC..and by his statement im assuming he means DJ Eliot will be joining him at UK. This has been a back and forth on Coley and Eliot..i hope we get both but looking more and more like only 1.
Guess we'll know more this week.

During the presser he said something about not commenting on the FSU coaches that might come with him because "it wouldn't be fair to those guys". Something about that makes me think he's definitely bringing people and already knows exactly who is coming. He seems set already on who his defensive people will be. I'm probably making more out of it than there is but sounds like he's bringing some defensive coaches from FSU at the least.

I think you guys will be getting dj Elliot and that makes me mad. He's a very good coach. Just look at our DEs over the last 3 yrs. Congrats if true tho. I think stoops will be successful for yall tho.

Here was the quote:
"Really, I'm not permitted to talk about it right now. They need to go through the hiring procedures and all that. I just got on campus, so I'd really rather not discuss any of that. I don't want to discuss any Florida State coaches. It's unfair to the players back there at this time."

I do believe more than one coach will be coming to Kentucky from FSU. Also hear that Auburn, Arkansas and couple other schools are going after Jimbo hard and if he leaves the staff will either go to Kentucky to join Mark or they will follow Jimbo

Another gracious Noles fan...sure is refreshing to see some fans still put being a human being above sport!
THanks..and im sure the dynasty that is FSU football will continue..we sent you a heck of a basketball coach in Hamilton. in a roundabout way! Good luck to the Noles in thier bowl!!
Im sure after the music stops..Stoops will have some nice hires sitting in those chairs...it so exciting to guess and ponder..im ready to know and grow now!!

UUgh..its Tuesday..id thought wed know more about our staff by now.. im sitting on pins and needles waiting to find out..4 sure..whos coming, staying, going..lol. Thanks Uk for the up and the kind words..gotta love those gracious noles fans

Looking at the assistant job openings shows the dealine to apply to be the 5th. I don't see anything before then. Maybe early tomorrow but I figure any official announcements will come after working hours tomorrow.
