Does anyone kinow whether this kid still plans to walk on at UK or has he decided to take a SS at a lower level of competition?

Apparently Ohio State and Arkansas offered him preferred walk-on spots, and he's also been in talks with Cincy. Only he really knows. He's supposedly a lifelong UK fan, but apparently they haven't been showing him enough attention so he's considering going elsewhere.
"Sheehan has scholarship offers from Eastern Kentucky and Butler and has preferred walk-on offers from UC, Kentucky, Indiana, Arkansas, Ball State and Ohio State. He has also recevied interest from Thomas More, Centre College and Wabash."

If I'm not mistaken we were the FIRST to offer him a preferred walk-on spot. He's had that opportunity for a while. He's been waiting to see what other full scholarship opportunities he was going to get.

If he comes to UK, I'd have to think this is his best option to end up on an eventual scholarship at a BCS school. Would be great to have him continue to catch TD's from Towels.

Agree with this. We were the FIRST to offer him a preferred WO role. He can obviously take the full ride to EKU or Butler, but his best shot at earning a full ride later on will be at UK.

Gotta think that Sheehan and Towels relationship will play into this.
Hopefully Towels will be in his ear, I think Sheehan can contribute in a few years.

Hopefully Towles will talk him into coming. Having someone who you know will catch the ball for you is big for a QB.

You want to go play for a Coach that would leave in the middle of the night if the right job became available then do it. Or play for a Coach that let's his players do anything they want just to win, and has the reputation on campus like he does, then do it!
Just like I'm sick of the LOD, I'm even more sick of kids claiming to be life long UK fans but have to think about coming here as preferred walk on! There has been THOUSANDS of Eastern Ky kids that would have crawled to UK for that same opportunity! So whatever!
