Should we expect a statement from UK?

  • Just wondering the office of enforcement would issue something about the Noel news. I think it is an agent sorta thing most likely like Shabazz, but figured there might be some kind of press release.

  • What would they say? And why say it?

    "As of right now it is a routine investigation that the NCAA does with a ton of players every yr. We don't know more than that. I suppose we'd talk more if we knew more."

    That's all they really can say at this time.

  • Now that you mention it, it is pretty quiet on the Shabazz story. I guess since he didn't sign with UK it became a non-story. The NCAA must have gotten their point across to his family/handlers.
    I guess Noel is the next name on the "if he signs with Kentucky" hit list.

  • It is my understanding that the NCAA investigates a ton of players like this every yr. The only reason why the media is making this story seem like it is something is because it:

    a) involves arguably the top player in the country
    b) involves UK which is the top program in the country

    If this was a 4* guard who is thinking about comitting to Vandy you'd never hear about it.
