WTF has the current UK FB coach allegedly done? Why in the hell would you even list him at all in your post?
I completely get some that would like to see Petrino coach the Cats (I do not like that D bag at all but he would win here) but leave Joker the hell out of it.Kooky Kats 247

What's going on in this country where you can't bang pretty 20something blonde girls? It's ridiculous. It's a personal matter. Yeah he didn't tell his employers. So what? Yeah he gave her a job. So what? 80% of the jobs landed in this country is because someone knows someone. As long as she did her job well why would it matter?

First off ... I said allegedly.
Im not patronizing you but - if you hadn't heard the rampant rumors that Joker was having a fling with a local newscaster.
Regardless of rumor, (true or not) I dont care about Joker's personal private life decisions. I'm merely stating that people shouldn't hate on people because their marriages fail.

I would hire that guy tomorrow, of I were the AD of UK. I have BCS and conference title dreams and our program is stuck in Operation Quicksand.
FACTS ABOUT PETRINO He is an offensive genius. He built Louisville and Arkansas into powers He did nothing out of the ethical realm that a former US President or allegedly UKs current FB coach has done This would irk UofL forever Towles would thrive under Petrino He is an a-hole, but a winning a-hole
I can live with the above facts and build the UK football brand into the 8th most profitable NCAA (according to Forbes) program as he did Arky.
Petrino will do a mea culpa and get hired by Clemson, Florida or the U in a year or so with no ill-effects as a bit of the stink wears off....why not us, why not now?
Go for it Mitch, take the knee and beg.

It's been very interesting to see these responses. There are two main sides here:
1) Having a coach where winning comes before everything and wins consistently, but correct ethical and moral behavior and staying faithful to your family and program is not even considered, or
2) Having a coach that tries to do everything right, disciplines his players when necessaey, but may not always win.I'm have always been a believer in doing things the right way, staying out of trouble and being a role model to my players. Some of you portray that winning in sports is the important thing in the world (may not think that way, but some of the posts seem that way). While it is nice to win, it's not the most important thing. Would any of you want your son to be coaches by Petrino? Sure, he may teach them football, but a coach is also a suppose to be a role model and offer guidance to his players and Petrino can offer none of that. I would never want my son to be around a coach like that, especially when they are the most impressionable.

Right or wrong, winning IS everything. I'm not sayin I think its right, I'm sayin that's the way the sports world is today. Coaches do not get paid to be good people. Its sad, but very true. There are 5 (FIVE) coaches in the NFL who have been with their teams since 2005. The average tenure of a coach in the NFL is less than a year. Think about that. Its the very same in the NBA. I wish things like morality, respect, honesty, and integrity meant more than what they do in sports today but unfortunately its all about MONEY. Winning = Money, and all this attributes mentioned above, sadly, just don't have a place in the world of money.
