So has anyone heard if Haynes committed?

  • What is the word on the official visit? Any whispers out there to a committ, or do we wait until tomorrow?

    Packman1962

  • Another site is reporting Haynes has committed. Added depth to the OL if this is the case. If this shows to be true, what are the odds he redshirts?

    Bigblue36

  • Entirely possible but he told me that he wanted to return home and think it over before he officially committed.

  • Okay, so if Haynes commits then we're at 20, and the following possibles:

    1.) Smith, 6'6", 245 DE( I know it's not been reported)
    2.) Hatcher, 6'4", 245 DE ( I know it's not been reported)
    3.) Timmons, 6'2", 190 WR ( I know it's not been reported)
    4.) ?
    5.) ?

The above 3 are hopefuls some more than others, and also this doesn't account for Hearns and his grade issues.I would love to see us add a DT with one of those 2 left (proved the above happen). So who is close: Johnson, Bryant, or a surprise?

Same site also said hearns committed last week.

With all due respect to the site, they haven't gotten much scoop since joker left. There is a reason for that.

Haynes had said he wouldn't commit til he got home to discuss with his family

Hatcher and Timmons are 2 and 3 inches shorter respectively than you have listed and less than the weight too.

Yes, that's what he's telling everybody not associated with the team. Just curious, are you one of the guys that got banned over at BBK?

Hearns did commit. Lots of kids commit on visits. Just like McWilson did. Just like Badet did. Aaron does an incredible job and has great connections with the team. Joker leaving had nothing to do with it.

Hearns did not commit. And even if he tried, UK wouldn't have accepted it for obvious reasons.

  • Likely won't hear anything on Haynes until Sunday at the earliest.

I stopped reading when you said "hearns did commit"

Bbk has been like apsu puppy since joker left. They've had no scoop. They now either make stuff up "hearns" or take stuff off of here or other sites.

He actually commented after he got back from his visit that he wouldn't sign on NSD, so I don't think aaron got this one right. Plus, did hop really get banned from a UK site?

Word out that Bammer got a couple of commits, at least one a DL and they may be getting short (or out) of rides. I'd love to see this help us land Reed for #24. As for #25? A LB (Stacy Thomas?) or an offensive play-maker ( Ra'Shaad Samples, Godwin Igwebuike or Asiantii Woulard - some word he may be back in play, but not sure I believe it).

  • That would be great! Reed and Thomas would be excellent to close the class out. I really feel we need another quality LB to add depth to our team at that position. Woulard is curious, because he's suppose to commit to UK, Clemson, UCLA, and maybe a few other programs according to family etc.

I understand kids wanting to experience the visits etc..... But it's getting down to the wire, so it's time to get serious. ....Personally I would rather get the defensive help.

Coach Brown has the tools on the roster now, and coming that would make the offense productive. It's the defense that we need to build, and with the front 7......aggressive to the ball, motor running playmakers. 1) Haynes, (2) Timmons, (3) Hatcher, (4) Smith, (5) Reed, (6) Thomas

    Packman1962

  • we need to add a top LB to this group. LB is a weak spot I do think.

    dvillepro1

  • We do need to add a LB in this class but it may just not happen. If it doesn't we can go JUCO for a guy next year and get a couple nice frosh prospects as well. I'm not worried about Stoops and Elliot finding LB's. They'll find em and the guys they sign will be highly thought of.

I'm not sure LB is quite as weak as people think either. We're pretty young at LB. Daron Blaylock should move to OLB and maybe Ashley Lowery. Forrest, Pancho, Khalid, Rancifer, Simpson, Warren probably makes the move to LB. Hopefully Jabari can step up and produce this year and I hope the new defense will be less complicated which should help a kid like McDuffen.

I think the new scheme and the fact that all these guys will be a year older will help our LB play a ton.

That still doesn't change the fact that you always need some LB's in a class but if we don't get em in this class we can go JUCO in the next and still get some good HS LB's.

The only place I have heard that Woulard may be back in play is the radio show that was talking about the Badet commit in Florida saying Woulard wanted to play with him. Outside of that...did someone say it elsewhere? If not...I take that with a grain of salt and highly doubt we land Woulard. Id say outside of Smith and Timmons the big surprises on NSD would be Hatcher and Reed. If we landed one that would be huge...both is hard for me to believe at this point.

I've never posted at bbk. Just "observed". Never been banned from any sites. I post here and scout.

Its been said that Woulard never had an offer in the first place.

Yea he did. But like you said. KY can't take him. Nobody can because he may not even graduate HS. But he did tell the coaches he was committing to play for them.
