The rumor mill is suggesting someone tried to start something with him out on the town, and it turned into a fight. Supposedly the OL had his back and took care of business.

Ive gotten word on this as well. Anyone know how bad the eye was actually hurt?

What the heck do you mean "blow his chance"? Perhaps you didnt mean it the way it sounds, but you are jumping the gun on saying he is blowing his chance, unless you have some sort of agenda with your comment.

One fight isn't going to hurt his chances at all, if anything may make him more popular amoung his team mates. No doubt the coaches don't want to hear about this sorda stuff all the time though. I just hope he's healthy come spring, that's the main thing. I can tell by watching him in the game and on the side-lines he's a good kid, every now and then a fight is something that has to take place. In a wierd way I like to hear this. I would rather have a qb that will stand up for himself and take a "L" (if he did take a L) than a qb that turns the other cheek when push turns to shove. Just my opinion...

Ok but you might want to do a little more research versus just attacking me. Again he has had issues off the field or do you just want to ignore the whole post by Jeff. If you prefer to believe a 6'5 220 lbs kid was minding his own business and attacked for no reason whatsoever then fine. But I'm not going to ignore something that has happened. Again saying your starting QB needs to mature isn't an attack on him. He has a great opportunity but he could drop the ball as many talented kids across the country have if they don't make good decisions. The QB position is highly scrutinized which I also don't think is a highly controversial comment. Joker does a good job of keeping kids in line and I expect he will do a good job with Max. But he does need to mature regardless of your beliefs or not.

Details, maybe it didn't happen. It's a message board so the whole point is to share opinions. It's college and guys get into situations that on retrospect they could have avoided. Max is the staring QB and Joker will expect him to show leadership part of which is avoiding situations where he or his teammates could get hurt. He just needs to start making better decisions or else Towels will be the face of the program sooner then later. Nothing controversial in the least but if you want to take it that way so be it. But let me ask you this in the event this is true. Do you think Joker would be happy or pissed his starting QB might have to miss all or part of spring practice? Do you think Joker would be happy or pissed his starting QB is someplace he shouldn't have been? If you think he is completely innocent of this hypothetical situation do you think UK would have released a statement that Max was viciously attacked with charges pending or would it make sense that he might have been partly responsible so no official charges were made? You tell me.
