Copied from other thread. Being circulated by Pete Rouselle (sp) --

Rumors about Bradley Dale Peveto joining the staff in some capacity -- started his coaching career as the secondary coach at Trinity Valley Community College in 1987.[1] From Trinity Valley, Peveto served as an assistant coach at Stephen F. Austin, Southern Miss, Arkansas, Northwestern State, Houston, Middle Tennessee before being hired at LSU in 2005.[1] As part of the LSU staff, he coached the special teams and linebackers from 2005 through 2007, including the 2007 national championship team.[1] In 2008, he was promoted to co-defensive coordinator of the Tigers, and served for one year before taking the head coaching position at Northwestern State

Was fired as head coach of Northwestern State this year. ST coach at LSU when they won the Natl Championship? That might work out.

  • doesn't sound bad.

  • My LSU guy says to avoid him like the plague if its for the DC job. But as a ST guy thinks he would be solid. Good guy, solid recruiter, who knows Louisiana area but just an average coach. Says LSU D got instantly bad in his one yr as DC even with talent and that Les forced him out the door to Northwestern St.

  • This is on the latest on coaching staff thread. It isn't for DC. It would be special teams. Also give someone with knowledge of Louisiana area so I think that is definitely worth it.

  • Holy moly, what a novel idea it would be to hire a special teams coach that has actually coached special teams!!!!!!! LoL Mitch should've know right then that it wasn't going to work out with previous regime.

I'm not going to run down the folks who are no longer here, as that point is moot.

I will say I would fully support hiring CBDP as our ST coach, especially if he has recruiting connections in Louisiana.

  • Absolutely! We have practically never had a presence in LA and they produce a ton of talent each yr. LSU cant take them all!
