Spring football practices closed to the public

For the life of me I just can't see this as a big issue. Maybe its because I never even considered going to a practice. Open practice is rare in sports so I see it as kind of a weird thing to do in the 1st place.

By itself, it isnt. Taken together with a myriad of other issues, just part of what many see as a negative trend.

After thinking about this, I don't even really care. I hope the football team does well and will watch every game (probably mostly on tv this year), but I'm not going to get worked up about the football program anymore until they can give us something to be excited about.
